Analogue of German Puma and Swedish CV90. China introduced the new BMP VN17

The BMP VN17 is armed with a 30-mm automatic cannon and a 7,62-mm machine gun. To fight against heavily armored targets, Red Arrow 12 ATGM guided missiles are installed on both sides of its tower. In this case, the crew manages all the weapons with the help of a special system that allows you to automatically track and identify targets.

VN17 accommodates up to 10 people (3 crew member and up to 7 airborne people). The weight of the machine is over 30 t, while due to the engine power of the HP 883. It can reach speeds of up to 70 km / h. Reservation BMP corresponds to the level of NATO STANAG level-6, which protects the crew and troops from small weapons and splinters. In addition, the developers say that the VN17 can be equipped with additional bottom bookings that can withstand the undermining of the 8-kilogram bomb.

More drawn to the old BMP with a manned turret. On the new BMP tower uninhabited.

The view, frankly, is respectful. China is steadily stepping on the heels of leading arms exporters, while in recent years it has significantly raised the quality

Respect? In what? The car is new, and the solutions are old ... that is, it is for the "poor countries" ... let's see how it shows itself. Chinese equipment, while there is a BIG minus - it is not worth the money that customers invest in it, it takes too long and often has to be repaired.

At the exhibition you can show anything. It is important that this “anything” would interest the military and not disappoint after appropriate tests. And ideally, it would be adopted.

It is not clear why the commander and gunner have two sights, and it seems the same. The gunner’s sight clearly weakens the frontal armor of the tower.

Well, for what two sights, this is understandable - duplication. But that's why the HABITATED tower, this is not clear.

Kurganets. They grow from the ZBD-08 (the chassis is the same, the hull is slightly changed, the tower is new) - which grew from the first Kurgan.

with over 30 tons of weight only against small arms and shrapnel protection?
something doesn’t fit, with such weight the forehead should hold small-caliber artillery shells

The weight of the machine is more than 30 tons, BMP reservations correspond to the NATO STANAG level-6 level, which protects the crew and troops from small arms and fragments.

During WWII, tanks with such a combat weight had anti-ballistic armor, but here only “rifle” and fragments. How much equipment is shoved !!! what

During WWII - tanks with such a mass resisted shells with armor penetration level of modern 25-30mm guns.

Even scrap from museum L7 - any heavy WWII tank will break into any projection and not take off, only if it gets stuck in the engine.

DZ and anti-cumulative screens, as it were, hint that the machine is not only protected from shooting.

hi... It has modular armor and can be adapted to specific threats for a more successful mission. The mobility and security of the BMP is comparable to the latest VT-5 MBT. The BMP is equipped with an uninhabited turret with a 30 mm gun, equipped with a panoramic aiming system and an integrated fire control system.

It’s quite a modern tower. In the style of Cockerill, and besides, with the ability to deal with heavily armored targets. But they are being put on an armored personnel carrier.
