Inflation or fraud? How to distinguish the first from the second
Another example. You get a salary (pension) and are going to pay utilities. Expand the receipt and ... Oh, oh! Instead of seven thousand - seven thousand five hundred! But why? After all, the cube of water as it was a cube, so it remained. Similarly, the kilowatt-hour, and the gigacalorie did not add energy, and the elevator did not become more spacious and cleaner, and the total area of the house remained, as it was ... though, stop! About the area of the house talk below.
Let us ask ourselves the question: how do these two examples differ in their economic and legal substance? In one case, the buyer is cheated by increasing the weight of the weight. In the other, they reduced the value of the ruble by raising tariffs, i.e. for the same demand more money.
There is a difference. In the first case, the fraudster-seller acts at his own risk. In the second - the government, which officially raises tariffs. Of course, if tariffs were raised for expanding the range of services, improving their quality, increasing the comfort of living in the house, as well as reducing the cost of services through the introduction of modern technologies, equipment, and increasing labor productivity, then everything is clear. But where have you seen such that the quality of utilities increased?
The same is with the prices of products, services, drugs, gasoline. They grow up. And no supervisory authority that we keep paying decent taxes does not really try to prevent this phenomenon. Why this phenomenon is still not qualified under criminal articles?
Some representatives of the authorities convince us that everything is correct, they do this in all developed countries. And who said that these countries are "developed"? Anyway, in terms of economic honesty?
В stories economic development was not always associated with rising prices. Since the days of Constantine I for six centuries, the Byzantine Empire, in which the gold standard prevailed, was a prosperous power and played a crucial role in international trade. Byzantium not only used honest money in circulation, but also strongly supported free trade, while rejecting the principles of mercantilism.
The gold coin, besant, was used in the Mediterranean countries and was known throughout the world. Over the 600 years, besant retained its value, which kept inflation in check. And the economy of the empire flourished. In 1071, Nicephorus III, Votaniat reduced the gold content in the coin, which at that time was the busiest in the world. The war with the Turks became a reason for devaluation. But Byzantium was defeated in the battle with the Turks and lost its currency. Financial chaos reigned led to the fall of the empire. Historians argue that the death of Byzantium was the result of "financial tragedy" [1].
The longevity of gold money was once again confirmed in December 2008. Archaeologists have discovered nearly 300 gold coins dating back to 600. These coins were issued by the emperor of Byzantium. Their value (just think about it!) Did not decrease at all over 1400 years, and even increased [1]. Those. the denomination of the coin was approximately equal to the value of gold!
We will not indulge in the wilds of the Bretton Woods Agreement and the fiatnogo dollar standard 1971 of the year. Who is interested, can find information in the primary sources. Let us turn to the current fate of the long-suffering ruble.
Our Central Bank also “targets” inflation. And he does it with incomprehensible stubbornness. But not in the way that the Byzantine emperors did (that’s why liberal media hate Byzantium!), But by a decrease in the money supply in the economy. "Surplus", they say, will accelerate inflation. Gentlemen from the Central Bank, and our government too, with a smart look, preaching common truths from TV screens, are holding us by naive lackluster.
It should be clear to an educated person that a shortage of money is the same as a shortage of blood in the human body. After all, they taught: "Money is the blood of the economy." Then why are you sucking it like bloodsuckers? Bloodless organism always eke out a miserable existence. The domestic economy behaves in the same way. Because it does not have enough money, and she began to resemble a worm in a swoon.
And why money is not enough? In fact, there is money, but according to a rather strange “fiscal rule”, they go overseas to support the local economy. And the bigwigs of this “economy” stifle us with sanctions, surround military bases, set our neighbors against us, bomb our allies, and they are going to bomb us in the near future, launching military satellites on our rocket engines. At the same time, they hide behind slogans about the fight against international terrorism created by them. So, are we together with them? After all, we support them with our money we need so much!
We spoke above about the gold standard, as an ideal, but did you know that the Russian government approved the agreement on the development of the Klyuchevskoye gold deposit in Transbaikalia with the Chinese government? The contract provides for the Chinese company China National Gold Group Hong Kong Limited to acquire rights from 60 to 70 to a percentage of voting shares of the Zapadnaya - Klyuchi Mine joint stock company (more than 30 tons of gold we will give away only for one mine).
Why sell Chinese largest gold miner in Russia? Mikhail Bocharov, director of the Center for Strategic Studies, answers: - The Chinese are great. Absolutely right. All over the world they are buying assets related to ores and gold, increasing the gold reserves. Understand that this is the groundwork for the future. In our country, the state does not create conditions for domestic investors. Tax, credit and financial policies, constantly changing rules of the game make this asset unattractive for business. In my opinion, the sale of this company is a blow to our economy. To preserve it, one could, for example, give an interest-free loan to a (domestic) investor for its purchase [2].
In other words: the government did not have paper money to add the country's gold reserves! They gave our gold to the "poor" Chinese. But it was not found because the currency gained from the sale of the “national wealth” (as in the advertisement of the state company trading in oil and gas) was transferred to the sworn “partner”.
Theater of the absurd? Wait, I’ll tell you something else about inflation. Let's go down from heaven to earth, where the housing and utilities system manages. It should be noted that she manages, and very skillfully, not only on the ground, but also in our pockets.
Question: "Why are utility tariffs increasing every year?"
Answer: “The growth of tariffs of natural monopolies is a necessary measure, which is applied in all developed countries. The main task of the tariff services of the regions of Russia is to derive an economically optimal formula for such indexation for the population. Calculate climate, infrastructure, consumer and other features of the regions. After all, housing and communal services as a branch of the economy are socially significant by their nature and purpose. ”
This was said by Alexander Sidyakin [3], Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Housing Policy and Housing and Public Utilities, head of the United States School of Literate Consumer project of the United Russia party.
Our consumer is not very literate yet, but the leaders of utilities structures are very “literate”. Probably, their Sidyakin taught such a letter. Here are just some examples of their “competent approach” to degreasing the population.
Why is the fee for using the elevator charged not for the number of residents, but for square meters?
Housing and communal services consultant: “The elevator is part of the common property of the owners of the premises of an apartment building. According to the current legislation, (I put a comma, auth.) For the maintenance of common property, the owners of the premises bear expenses based on the occupied space, therefore the payment for the elevator is made (why “produced”? - Auth.) Based on square meters and not on the number of residents "[4].
It is clear, "proceeding" from the occupied area, "proceeding" from square meters. Then why does the Kirov house manager introduce an elevating factor for overweight people for using an elevator?
In Kaliningrad, residents of the September 2017 receipt for the year were paid for pruning trees. And very well famously included - on ₽3,9 per square. meter of residence. Look in the previous paragraph. The housing and utilities consultant wrote in black and white that “the owners of the premises bear the expenses on the basis of the occupied space, so the payment ... is made on the basis of square meters ...”. Do we have tenants already living in the trees, remembering Darwin? Then why is the fee not calculated, "proceeding" from square meters of living on trees?
Source yastart.ru reports a strange increase in the total area of the house: in October 2014, the “increase” in the total area of the house was 16, 1 square. m, in February 2015 g. - 6,9 square. m, in March 1,5 square. m. For five months, the house "fat" on 24,5 square. m
In another house for the maintenance of common areas charge more than for an apartment. Etc. etc. The reader himself can add many similar examples. At the same time, any appeals, even to management companies, even to the prosecutor’s office, or to the court, will rarely lead to the restoration of justice. After all, experienced lawyers work on the housing and utilities infrastructure, and the supervisory authorities and the courts are guided by laws and regulations. But they are written in such a Jesuit manner that no person with a pure consciousness can understand anything about them. We must understand that it is specially written. I wonder why?
We will not bore the reader with "jokes" from the boisterous activities of our housing and communal services, which our competent (according to the parliament) government is so carefully taking care of. It protects this system from the raids of the supervisory authorities (see the example below) and diligently provides the legislative base. And we, the payers for these "services", are supported by charging the increase in pensions by 3,7 percent. Given that the tariffs in the whole country increased last year: for electricity - up to 15%, for hot water - 7,8%, cold water - 7% [see ibid.]
Anyone who is older will remember the receipt for an apartment during the years of “developed socialism”: it was worth the 7-8 rubles for the whole range of services. For those times it is two bottles of vodka. How many bottles of vodka deprived people? But suddenly - is it a concern for our health and demographics?
And where does the money go, additionally obtained from raising tariffs for housing and communal services, and all natural monopolies? Maybe to improve the quality of life of people? No matter how!
Here is one example of [5]. The Pipe Business in St. Petersburg began loudly. 29 November 2012 was searched in the building of the Energy Committee and in the offices of contracting organizations, following which the ex-chairman of the department, the head of the office of the committee’s customer, the director of the contracting company and the then owner of the company were detained and transferred to Moscow. Investigative actions were arranged most effectively. In the media, a video search was sent to the apartment, where a Christmas tree flashed lonely. The press release of the Russian Interior Ministry reported: the suspects laid 600 km of old pipes (this is the distance from St. Petersburg to Moscow, aut.), Although the budget paid for new pipes, so the total damage amounted to 3 billion rubles.
However, gradually, the affair, as if the tree were on the eruption of the New Year holidays, lost all its loud and prickly details. The amount of damage a year later fell to 50 million rubles, the suspect went out on bail and transferred to the status of a witness, and the attempt to transfer the case to the court ended in failure: in 2014, the General Prosecutor’s Office returned him for further investigation, demanding that how much money was stolen in reality.
Two years later, in the Leninsky District Court of St. Petersburg, the accusation of a loud trumpet case was quietly and unnoticed. After all examinations, the debt of public utilities decreased to ... 1,3 million rubles. In this case, the main person involved in the case has already transferred 15 million to the budget. That is, the city treasury is now the debtor of the ex-owner of the contractor!
Not only the structure of housing and communal services "indulge" with the tariffs. A couple of years ago, the author, before the New Year holidays, purchased compartment tickets for a train, three tickets of four thousand rubles each. Bank card "did not go." Therefore, capturing 15 thousand rubles, rushed to the cashier Railways. After 45-50 minutes, when my turn came, the cashier said that the cost of three tickets was almost 27 thousand rubles! To the question: “Why, after all, the tickets just cost four thousand and three tickets are twelve thousand?” The cashier replied that now (apparently, after the former “experienced” motor-car owner came to the management of Russian Railways), “dynamic pricing” is being applied. The granddaughter's trip to her grandmother “covered herself with a copper basin”, but who cares - they have “market mechanisms” now applied.
About the prices of gasoline, which directly affect the prices of goods, have already burned them, but nothing has changed: if the oil prices on international stock exchanges rise, so will the prices of gasoline, we have the market. If oil prices fall, gas prices also rise - the government is to blame for raising excise taxes.
And all this mess with the tariffs, it turns out, does not affect inflation. And the state of the economy is only aggravated not only because of high lending rates for enterprises due to the high refinancing rate of the Central Bank, but also natural monopolies add fuel to the fire, sucking blood from it.
And only bankers are happy. They cheat on currency speculation, on imposing unnecessary services on lending to ordinary people and on other “banking instruments”.
From the television screens we are told about the upcoming growth of the economy. But what is invested in this concept? It is believed that economic growth means an increase in national income / national production. National production, in turn, is also measured by the value of the goods and services produced. As the bubble of such growth is inflated, we saw above.
Is there real economic development? It turns out, it happens. And this is a well-known truth.
Here it is: Economic development implies an increase in the level of production in the economy along with the development of technology, an increase in the standard of living, an increase in life expectancy, a decrease in infant mortality, an increase in the level of education and the elimination of poverty. For some reason, this truth is “not known” to our government and the Central Bank.
Economic growth without development can occur, i.e. gross domestic product (GDP) increases in value terms, but most people do not experience any real improvement in their standard of living [6]. In this case:
Economic growth will benefit only a small percentage of the population. For example, if a country produces a lot of oil, there will be economic growth. But oil belongs to one or a narrow group of companies that will benefit from its sale.
Corruption. You can count the growth of GDP due to government procurement, but the benefits of growth are spent on bank accounts of officials.
Environmental problems. Production of toxic chemicals will create real GDP growth. Without proper regulation, this will lead to problems with the environment and health (see problems with Baikal, landfills near Moscow).
Production is not consumed. If the industry increases the production cycle, everything is reflected in the increase in GDP. But if sales are not established, there is no real increase in the standard of living.
Infrastructure. When roads are poorly developed, traffic collapses, making people waste time in traffic jams instead of working. Transport service cost aviation and trucking companies, Russian Railways is separating a country, especially one as huge as Russia.
Military expenses. The country can increase GDP due to the cost of purchasing military equipment. But if this happens at the expense of health and education, it will invariably lead to a low standard of living.
Thus, economic development is much more than economic growth. Economic development includes economic growth only as a quantitative component. As the former uses various indicators to judge progress in the economy as a whole, the latter uses only specific indicators — gross domestic product, citizens' incomes and taxes paid by them, etc. And inflation here is only an indicator related to real economic development.
In conclusion, it is useful to familiarize yourself with several provisions from the book of American Congressman Ron Paul “Ending the Fed”, which has been struggling with the US Federal Reserve System for more than 30 for years, urging it to eliminate [7].
“The cost of a house while raising market prices is not a condition. Of course, if someone is lucky to sell a house at the right time at the maximum cost, he will become richer, but the national wealth will not increase. This process does not create new wealth, it simply allows the seller to make a profit as a result of a quick deal. Some actually managed to cash in on rising prices, but when the rise ends, many more people suffer the effects of falling prices. None of this replaces real savings. For savings you need to live within your means and not spend all your income. ”
“It is very important to take money correctly. Money is not the same as wealth; gold itself is not wealth. Some believe that increasing the amount of paper money gives wealth, but it only reduces the value of money in circulation. To automatically double the amount of gold in circulation would be much more interesting than the amount of paper money, but it does not replace labor productivity and will not increase turnover. If productivity does not increase, even doubling the volume of gold in circulation would simply lead to an increase in prices in gold currency. ” Here we are talking about an unjustified increase in money in circulation, but not about the exsanguination of the economy (author.)
“The monetary unit of account is the first necessary component of an economic operation; the second is, of course, goods and / or services. It can be argued that understanding the nature of money is critically important, since each operation depends on the perception of their current and expected value in the future. Solving economic problems is a daunting task for society, which is forced to use intractable paper money that can depreciate in the blink of an eye at the whim of the monetary authorities with a monopoly on the issue of money. ”
“No matter how well-established a modern economic system may seem, and no matter how long it lasts, the longer the unpredictable fiat money serves as the reserve currency, and not the units of payment that are independent of the government, like gold, the system becomes more fragile. Since the authorities can cheat with impunity for decades, imbalances will continue to grow and, ultimately, will lead the system to collapse. The more definable the calculated monetary unit, the smoother and longer the economy functions. Paper money, politics and central banks never stand the test of time. ”
Only one thing should be added to this: our country, possessing the greatest natural resources in the world, with invaluable human and intellectual potential, cannot sell foreign consumers to the national currency. nothingsince the ruble is a volatile currency with an unpredictable rate.
Therefore, the ruble on the world market is not needed by anyone except currency speculators who earn on someone's “volatility” in their heads. Strange situation, isn't it?
Ahead of the first of July, the day of the increase in utility rates. They will inevitably be followed by a rise in prices for basic foodstuffs and vital medicines. Why precisely the first of July? It's simple: the lowest social activity. After all, many will disperse on holidays and dachas, the increase in the amount of receipts in the summer will be less noticeable. Social psychologists serving the system are also paid money, although in this case they do not make any contribution to economic development.
Inflation, however. Or is it a scam?
