Germany, we just won, not "thrown into corpses"

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation intends to make public the loss of the USSR in the Great Patriotic War to the 65 anniversary of the Victory. The ministry hopes that the exact number of losses summarized in an electronic database will put an end to speculations around them. This was announced by the head of the Department for the perpetuation of the memory of those killed in the defense of the Fatherland, Major General Alexander Kirilin.

“The Russian Ministry of Defense is working to create an electronic database of casualties in the Great Patriotic War,” he said. - By the 65 anniversary of the Great Victory, we finally come to the official figure, which will be recorded in the regulatory document of the government and communicated to the entire population of the country, in order to stop speculation on the figures of losses.

Sensations are not expected here. The work on counting the number of deaths has been underway in the ministry for 17 for years, and its approximate results are known: the country's total human losses are 26,6 million people, the combat losses are within 9 million people.

Thus, the thesis of those “historians” who like to repeat is refuted that we “threw corpses into Germany” and only because we won. “You look,” they say, “for our killed German there are five of ours!” It's terrible! How do you have to fight to have such losses? ”Developing the“ thought ”further, they depict our military leaders as a sort of soulless monsters who were driving the soldiers to certain death in fear of Stalin. “But Stalin would not have dealt with Tukhachevsky and other military leaders,” they say, “the war could have gone differently, and there would have been less casualties.”

In a word, according to their logic, everything is bad. Stalin is bad, military leaders are bad, soldiers are untrained, the losses are huge. But the Germans - those are great, yes. Fought sporely and skillfully, captured large territories with small blood weapon they fired better, the grenades flew farther, and the boiling water in the pots was sweet even without sugar.

This myth has been cultivated for twenty years, if not more. It seems, and in the minds of many he ate tightly. Especially in terms of losses. “Yes, yes, great losses!” - agree the inhabitants and shake their heads in contrition. And almost no one takes the trouble to grasp the essence of the matter. And if they had done this, they would immediately open up a few juggling, on which this false construction rests.

First, the five dead against one is a lie. Such a figure will turn out only if the total Soviet casualties of the USSR are divided by the combat losses of Germany (they used to be defined as 25 and 5 of millions of people, respectively). But our civilian population did not fight; consequently, even counting thus lacks any practical sense.

Secondly, the normal ratio of losses to the attacking and defending sides in all military textbooks is defined as 3: 1. On the three killed attacking there is one dead defender. For the most part of the war, our troops attacked, whatever you say. Consequently, the losses they should have more.

Thirdly, comparing the losses of the USSR and Germany, for some reason they did not take into account the losses of its allies for a long time. And if we take them into account, and then divide the USSR combat losses by the combat losses of Germany, we get the ratio 1,5: 1 (not even 3: 1!). Agree, not bad at all (if this word is appropriate here). It turns out that our military leaders, in most cases, fought competently, while the soldiers, contrary to popular belief, mostly took care. So we won Germany, not “thrown into corpses”.

And now about the numbers. The article by Archpriest Alexander Ilyashenko, published last year on the site “Invented Stories about War”, which we already wrote about earlier, gives a table of irretrievable losses of Red Army personnel in the Great Patriotic War by years. These include the dead, the missing, prisoners and those who died in captivity.

Germany, we just won, not "thrown into corpses"

The last column of the table shows daily losses. In 1941, this figure was the highest, since the troops had to retreat under extremely difficult conditions, and large units were surrounded, in the so-called "Boilers". In 1942, this figure is much less: although our army was still retreating, the troops were less likely to be surrounded. In 1943, fierce battles were fought, especially on the Kursk Bulge, but from this year until the end of the war, the forces of Nazi Germany were already retreating. In 1944, the Supreme Command of the USSR planned and conducted a series of brilliant strategic operations to defeat and encircle entire groups of German armies, therefore the losses of the Soviet army were reduced this year. But in 1945, this figure increased again: the stubbornness of the German army increased, since it was already fighting on its own territory.

The armed forces of Germany, said Archpriest Alexander Ilyashenko, lost 6,92 million people on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War, armed forces of its allies - 1,73 million people, just the same - 8,65 million.

Perhaps, these statistics, together with the upcoming electronic base of the Ministry of Defense, will educate lovers to inflate the figure of our losses and draw various conclusions based on their own conclusions, one negative than the other. Although unlikely. Some citizens, as you know, the law is not written.

It is high time to publish real documents on the loss of the army and population in the war. In principle, the numbers voiced in the article sounded back in the 80s at school history lessons, but with the advent of the labeled Stavropol Judas, the annual inflation list of losses and the registration of war crimes for the soldiers of the Soviet army began.
Now the situation is changing, but too slowly. In my opinion, it has long been possible to equate the law allowing attracting liars spreading lies about the army of the winner to special works on cleaning the sewers and latrines for long months, and then they need to be deprived of their citizenship and thrown out of the country. Watering the history of one’s own people with shit should be punished.

Right. A law is needed, like the Holocaust Denial Act. For example, for belittling the role of the USSR and the SA in victory in World War 2, etc. And to punish, if not with a real time period, but at least with socially useful work to restore and repair the monuments of the Great Patriotic War. There is a lot of work there.

THANK THE GRANFATHER FOR THE VICTORY !
Inflating our losses in the war to incredible proportions is very popular with Russian liberals, but representatives of the defeated side like it even more. Large losses serve as an excuse for defeat.
It is impossible to give these reptiles a chance to trample our Victory in the mud, to diminish the significance of the deed of our fathers and grandfathers!

Screamers with the phrase “the USSR threw Germany into corpses” remember that your ancestors poured all of Europe, and then remember who liberated it, so it may be worthwhile to think well and thank those millions of lives laid on the altar of victory.

The calculation of combat losses in World War II is based on both indirect, mainly demographic, data and direct information. But the latter are not always accurate. For example, in the Central Archive of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation in Podolsk, there are about 16 million registration cards for dead soldiers. However, it does not follow from this that 16 million perished. The initial task was to take into account precisely all those who died, without losing anyone, and information about the same person came from different sources. As a result, it happens that there are 5 cards per person. In the “average”, however, it really comes out somewhere around 2 cards per 1 dead, i.e. the number of dead Soviet soldiers is really approaching 8 million.

If, finally, we compare our enemies with us in battle, then a good example is the battle on the Kursk, at the “peak” of the war, when both sides reached the top in martial art, experience and technical equipment, and when we finally turned the tide of the war. There is data on the ratio of manpower and equipment involved in the battle:

      Military personnel:

      Germany - 900 thousand

      Russia - 1 thousand

      Our superiority is 1,5 times.

      Tanks:

      Germany - 2.

      Russia - 3 306.

      Our superiority is 1,2 times.

      Aircraft:

      Germany - 2

      Russia - 2 650.

      Our superiority is 1,1 times.

      Anti-tank guns:

      Germany - 10

      Russia - 20 220

      Our superiority is 2 times.

It is on such key data about the main battles of the war that military historians are based, establishing the ratio of losses. And they all shatter the myth that we, they say, won by number, “cannon fodder”, “filled up with corpses”, etc. This is not at all true, one can be absolutely sure of it, we have nothing to be ashamed of, and the patriots of Russia can breathe calmly and with good reason be proud not only of courage and stamina, but also the martial and organizational art of our ancestors.

Dear, you forget only one thing ... when these Germany-USSR figures are given, that the USSR needs to actually divide this figure into two parts ... all pseudo-historians forget about the army in the Far East, and of course it was inferior in terms of the number of people and technology, but the same was not small. So the superiority of the USSR over Germany, based on your numbers ... in fact, no.

according to last year's data - already closer to 7 million. And we must not forget that almost 4 million Soviet prisoners of war were killed in captivity, as well as the fact that after Operation Bagration the calculation of German losses was unreliable, and during the battles of 1945 it was practically not carried out.

citing as evidence of the alignment of forces on the Kursk Bulge I consider nothing more than a thoughtful picking in the nostril. The Red Army, in spite of its numerical superiority, was on the defensive (and it was always more difficult to defend oneself - although they were seriously preparing, and the initiative was all the same for the enemy) and this was actually the first experience of a successful general battle with a summer German, from which it’s been two years before suffered a defeat. well and so, on trifles - new German tanks near Kursk - not seeds in itself.

    About losses too.
I thought they would stop rubbing this topic.
But no, again someone is unbearable about the loss of talk.
And I don’t know ... freaks that such talk is only to their own detriment.
Yes, even if in 1945 the USSR - "BACKED" Germany with corpses. Who makes it worse?
    Only the losing side !!!!!
After 4 years of a bloody war, the state is ABLE to "overwhelm" the corpses of the enemy: the conclusion is that this very enemy has NO BRAINS.

The publications on the topic of losses are very upsetting. For some reason, everyone is guided by 1941. But in 1944-1945, very successful operations were carried out. You can recall the "camp of armed prisoners of war" in the Baltic States and "Bagration", Kamyanets-Podolsk and Yasso-Kishinev offensive operations. And the encirclement and disarmament of Army Group Center in May 1945. In general, one gets the impression that our perception of history is based on fragments of Goebel's propaganda. But how can you believe the Luftwaffe, who deceived Hitler about the speed of the aircraft, or the same Skorzeny, who had contacts with the intelligence of the enemy of the Nazis.

Here one more moment is overlooked. Like it or not, but total losses of the USSR in that war exceed 25 million people. In other words, Germany and its allies killed several civilians per one killed by the opposing army. Great illustration of WHAT FOR in fact, they came to this earth, WHAT the future awaited Russia if it lost in that war. Not at all foreign cars with good roads and beer from the belly. A good illustration of the conversation about the alleged atrocities of the Soviet troops in Germany

I agree to all 100%. And here I have such a thought - it won’t go any further. I explain what’s wrong. Because the population of the country is also resources. Now imagine that the population of our country is 200 million (Well, figuratively, so that it was more convenient to consider) .And the enemy, let's also say, 200 million. Now let's estimate, we lost 25 million, and they are 10. Yes, we lost the soldiers almost equally, but what about civilians? After all, these are millions who were not born in the future OUR fellow citizens. Despite the fact that we defeated THEM (former enemies), there are more. After 10 years they will become even more in percentage terms ii. Do you catch the thought? It’s impossible to do this further. In the following wars, our opponents must suffer greater human losses than we, otherwise we will die out as an ethnos, even winning. We must deal with the enemy as our ancestors did with the Khazars and Pechenegs, then we will it’s getting bigger, and the enemy ... well, woe to the vanquished.

What can I say about the losses ... my grandfather was twice buried, the first time near Leningrad in 1941 (although the database contains 1943), the second time in Manzhuria in 1945 ... he died in 2000 at the age of 90, and could not prove that he was alive to return the awards. He was "buried" in 1938 on Khasan, and in 1941 in Finnskaya. Another grandfather, twice captured and returned, disappeared in 1943 ... how to count him. You can count the losses, plus or minus a million, only because of the 1941-1942 companies. When they say the losses of those years, they forget to take into account such aspects ... there are killed ... prisoners ... deserters ... With the killed everything is clear, prisoners. .. the numbers differ, but it flashed that in fact up to a million prisoners were used in the Wehrmacht troops in auxiliary units, but there were combat units, the fact is, do not forget to add them the same to Germany ... no one took into account their losses, but they were .. How many died in captivity and how many did not return from the Western part of the Allied occupation territories, no one really knows ... they just remained one figure of losses ... missing. Deserters ... with the liberation of the territory, correctly they were recruited to serve in the army again ... but before liberation they served Germany in the same auxiliary units, police, etc. ... that's another million and a half, add Germany .. after, already in the Soviet army, they died at the front and went into losses for the second time. And now name the ratio of the number of armies of the USSR and Germany ... and also minus the number of troops in the Far East in the USSR ... in a common heap. And now finally what is the proportion of the USSR-Germany ... ???

The ratio of offensive to defense losses, as 3: 1, is fair to say tactically and when attacking a prepared defense in depth. Strategically, fewer losses are due to the massive use of heavy weapons in the breakthrough area and the encirclement and destruction of large masses of troops. This is confirmed by the statistics of losses by years - whoever advances wins.

About the missing ... how to account for these soldiers ... is difficult. I’ll give examples, my parents are from a village, where one missing person came to die home from Australia 30 years later, the allies were released from captivity ... well, they found out about the next after his death, the same thing happened after 30 years to his wife, who counted to his dead, inheritance documents came from the western regions of an incomprehensible country ... it turned out that her husband (knowing that he was among the dead) decided not to return to Siberia, and married a second time after the post-war confusion and settled in warm regions ... these are the losses .

The idiocy of syllogism about the loss ratio of 3: 1 is obvious. Then the goal of the offensive is to inflict losses on oneself. In fact, this is the destruction of control systems, communications, supply. The enemy is driven out of cover, his fire weapons are removed from them by attack, cease resistance, etc. Considerations are obvious, repeatedly repeated. As a result, we have the destruction of the logic of the article and distrust of the conclusions. Authors, It is time to introduce a moratorium on the mention of the unfortunate 3: 1.

Nikulin himself served in the artillery of the Headquarters Reserve and did not directly participate in the battles he described. and he was sent to the artillery after an unsuccessful command of the submachine gun squad. Separately, it was delivered that before the war, Nikulin was an art critic and studied the work of Bosch. so the battlefield paintings he describes are pure Freudianism.

German losses can only be talked about until a certain period. further - already pseudo-quasia. although Hitler shortly before his death at the congress of the Gauleiter called the total loss of the Reich to 12 million. he probably knew better?

Something I just can't get it, what kind of concept is "showered with corpses", the Germans chtoli bullets and shells lacked? What the
The war was going to annihilation, and there are no rules here. As the vaunted Germans did not rest, ours were cooler. In general, I believe that the main thing is that after all the defeats and losses, the Soviet leadership did not lose the will to continue the war, and the Russian men did not lose their desire to measure their strength

At the beginning of the war, the Germans advanced so quickly that in the western regions that became part of the USSR only in 1939, the mobilization of military men was not carried out.
The occupation authorities compulsorily carried out registration of the population and issued outsourced registrations.
The entire male population from 18 to 60 years old was obliged to either go to work for the Germans, or serve in the police and auxiliary troops, or were sent to concentration camps for prisoners of war. That's where the Germans got so many prisoners from the first days of the war. Most of them were those who did not serve in the Red Army and did not have military training. This is known to everyone who lived in the western regions of Belarus and Ukraine, and "historians" ignore this fact.
On the 22 of June 1941 of the year in the European part of the USSR, the number of the Red Army was 2 820 thousand people, if everyone surrendered and overwhelmed the Germans with corpses, then who restrained the attack of 5 - the millionth army of Hitler and his allies?

The beginning of the war is generally an ambiguous period. 30 years ago, my neighbor was in the village. Grandfather. At one time he served a little for surrender in the 41st. He said that in the first months in Ukraine, the Germans simply let the captured Soviet soldiers - Ukrainians go home. They announced in front of the formation - "Who is Ukrainian - come out and go home." And he also left. And many Russians, as he said, also went out in order to get out of the occupied territory and return to their own or partisan. Apparently in the first months of the war, the Germans had a strong euphoria from success. Then the Germans began to notice that a lot of prisoners were leaving and this practice was stopped. But many, nevertheless, managed to recover from the first captivity and continue the struggle.
