"Elbrus" went north. Logistics support vessel transferred to the Navy

"Elbrus" enlisted in the squad of ships providing support services for the auxiliary fleet of the joint strategic command of the Northern Fleet.

This is a universal vessel designed for the carriage of goods, towing, conducting hydrographic surveys, assisting ships in distress. Thanks to crane equipment (two electrohydraulic cranes with a lifting capacity of 50 tons, towing winches with 120 and 25 tons of towing force) and the dynamic supply positioning system can perform loading operations at non-equipped quay walls and in the open sea.

"Elbrus" has a diving complex with a pressure chamber to provide deep-sea diving. The ARC4 ice-class hull is designed to overcome ice 0,6 m thick. The vessel has all the conditions for normal crew work and rest in the Arctic: a sauna, a swimming pool, a gym, comfortable cabins with individual sanitary blocks. Thanks to the automation class А1, the shipless service is provided on the ship.

"Elbrus" - the lead logistic support vessel for the 23120 project. The construction of another ship of this project, the Vsevolod Bobrov, is continuing at the Northern shipyard.

vessel length - 95 m; width - 22 m; draft - 9 m; speed - 18 nodes; displacement - 9 500 t; cruising range - 5 000 nautical miles;

      Visually looking at him, he seems as small as a yacht.
      And there would be a dozen such Yachts for our fleet?

    A very necessary vessel for work in high latitudes. Will supply military units in the north. Without a strong rear there will be no strong front.

      Are you ironic, or really can’t understand the meaning of this phrase? I will explain to readers that there is no misunderstanding, and you can add something to my words. This refers to the engineless maintenance of the engine room. The automation class A1 of the Maritime Register of the Russian Federation implies that the central control post of the power plant does not need the presence of a watch mechanic there - all control is from the navigation bridge using the DAU system (remote automatic control of the main engine). The navigational watchman himself can adjust the speed of the main engine without calling a mechanic in the car. Although, in practice, sometimes a mechanic has to be pulled into a “hole”: in some modes of operation of the main engine and when swimming in special conditions, the presence of a watch in the car is necessary. If the swimming takes place normally, without excesses, then the DAE system for a mechanic is happiness. Because the mechanics in this case are not running shifts, but work shifts are working - in the evening the work is over, the machine is transferred to the no-load service, the mechanics are dispersing in the cabins. All modern ships have this system, and only very old ships have automation class A2 and A3. Class A3 implies the constant presence in the car of a mechanic and minder.

      A1 Automation Sign assigned to a ship if the power plant can be operated normally no permanent shift both in the engine room and in the CPU. When operating a vessel with the A1 sign, changing the operating mode of the power plant set from the bridge by a common command.

    Handsome man! The bad thing is that the case is only "ours", the filling is all bourgeois. No way our engines will not master. Sorry "Russian diesel" closed.
