So, in Russia, the next presidential elections were held. Results are counted and published. With a large margin from competitors, current President Vladimir Putin is gaining more than 76% of the vote, which is an absolute record. It is noteworthy that the last elections were the first in which the Crimea, which returned to Russia, took part. There, Putin was supported by almost 92% of the population, thereby confirming the results of the 2014 referendum of the year.
Despite Putin’s clear victory, Western leaders did not rush to congratulate him. Only a few days later, the heads of France, Germany, and the United States, who made a simple statement from their administration, and who made a personal call, deigned to express words of congratulations to the Russian leader.
In Russia itself, the cries of representatives of the liberal party began, which fell upon criticism not only of the current government, but also of ordinary citizens of the country.
