Eight main areas, including artificial intelligence and a supercomputer, will be developed by scientists in the military innovation technopolis “Era” reports TASS the message of its director Fedor Dedus.
According to Dedus, the creation of the technopolis "is supposed to be implemented in stages: the first stage - 2017-2018 years - will create the basic infrastructure and organize the work of the Defense Ministry research cluster, the second stage - 2019-2020 years - the main efforts will be focused on creating and ensuring effective functioning of the Technopolis research and production cluster and the implementation of the full cycle of development and implementation of innovative projects ”.
At the first stage it is planned to conduct research and development in eight priority research areas: information and telecommunication systems and artificial intelligence systems, robotic complexes, supercomputers, technical vision and pattern recognition, information security, nanotechnologies and nanomaterials, energy and life support machines, and bioengineering , biosynthetic and biosensor technologies

Earlier on the project to create a technopolis Sergei Shoigu reported. During the conference call, the Minister of Defense said that young scientists and graduates of scientific companies will work in the interests of the armed forces in the technopolis. They will be able to interact with the largest research organizations, universities and defense enterprises.
