We warned you: the United States "ran" on Russia in the UN Security Council
67
In a statement, the US envoy to the UN, Niki Haley, in fact, sounded rhetoric, which is often used to justify US military interventions. She said that Washington reserves the right to strike at the Syrian army.
A meeting of the UN Security Council was convened to discuss the situation in Eastern Ghouta, an enclave of anti-government forces, where battles are now taking place. And instead of talking about the essence of the issue, the fate of the civilian population and measures to ensure its security, Haley burst out accusing Russia, Syria and Iran. She even declared these three countries responsible for some chlorine attacks. Russian permanent representative Vasily Nebenzya, in turn, called her statements disinformation.
Nicky Haley also said that the United States is already preparing a new draft resolution that will prohibit Damascus from conducting combat operations against al-Nusra terrorists.
