History An-148 began as early as the 21 century. The parks of the airlines were full of outdated cars, and they had to be changed. For this case, in addition to the "Sukhoi" with his "Superjet" and "Tupolev" with Tu-334 (about him you told earlier), took and "Antonov". At first, the Ukrainians planned to create a new aircraft based on the turboprop An-140. But after weighing all the pros and cons, the Antonovs decided to create a liner from scratch.
Work on the project An-148 began with the 2001 year. Already at the design stage, a serious modernization potential was laid in it. And he realized. Now in the sky you can see an enlarged An-158 and military transport An-178. In 2004, An-148 first took off the ground. He was “driven” for three years, and in 2007 he received his first certificate.
Today this car, as it is not sad, became a victim of political disagreements between Russia and Ukraine.
