The Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Kyrgyzstan Rayimberdi Duishembiev and the Commander of the Central Military District of Russia Alexander Lapin discussed topical issues of cooperation, as well as the progress of the joint command-staff training in the republic, reports Interfax message of the Kyrgyz military department.
Today, a meeting was held between the Chief of the General Staff of Kyrgyzstan R. Duishenbiev and the commander of the Central Military District of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation A. Lapin, during which the sides exchanged views on the current international situation, discussed relevant areas for further cooperation, as well as the progress of the joint command-staff training in the republic,

It is reported that the participants of the meeting "noted the successful implementation of the plan for bilateral cooperation, operational and combat training of the armed forces units and noted their readiness to further intensify the activities of the joint grouping of troops."
“After the meeting, A. Lapin departed to the city of Balykchy (Issyk-Kul region, northern Kyrgyzstan) to participate in the active phase of the joint command-staff training with the participation of the units of the land forces of Kyrgyzstan and the Central Military District of the Russian Federation,” the agency added.
