The rustle of "Foliage": a weapon that has no analogues in the world

25
The machine of remote clearance "Foliage" is one of those weapons that, despite the loud words, really have no analogues in the world. The complex is intended for "clearing the road" for the strategic "Topol" and "Yars".

Despite the fact that the "Foliage" for more than 4 years comes into service with the Russian army, its technical characteristics are classified. The base for the complex is an armored vehicle - the further development of the KAMAZ project "Vystrel". Antenna mounted on the roof, most likely, is designed to search for mines and land mines. It is claimed that the detection range is about 100 meters.

In front of the car is a retractable ramp, equipped with emitters that act on the enemy charges laid and undermines them. Consequently, Foliage is capable of fighting only those mines and land mines that are remote-controlled.

Undoubtedly the right car, but about the phrase "has no analogues" somehow tormented by vague doubts. Over the hill, people are no worse than us, and for sure there is something similar.
I wonder why they were used on the basis of the "Shot"? This semi-finished product did not take root in the combat units, so, apparently, they “threw off” it fraternally.

this is not a “Shot”, it’s biaxial, here the Kamaz-43114 base is SBA 60k2 Damask steel

In fact, it can "fry" any electronic and just electric fuses. Induced currents.

She can go and fry a squirrel on a tree, like a giant microwave.

      A very highly specialized vehicle - against anti-track / anti-bottom mines made of non-metal, and anti-aircraft / anti-roof mines are absolutely useless.

I do not agree, he destroys ANY mines, if only to fall under radiation.

Secret for Topol and Yars ... But do not need military engineer-sapper units and units?

With the classification of mins, the order is of course, only the last two types can also have acoustic, magnetic and seismic, count electronic, fuses, not talking about contact fuses with electric. and electromechanical. the principle of action (detonation of explosives), which "Foliage" counteracts.

Also infrared, like M2 and M3 in American MTR, or M-94.
Here are just the last can be installed away from the road and HZ what sector of the antenna at this "Foliage".

Using a detection system, she surveys the road and searches for mines. Having found the ammunition, the MDM stops and a crew of five, using the available information, makes a decision on the method of disposal of the ammunition. The elimination of mines can be done by two sappers, who are part of the crew of five people (driver, commander, operator and two sappers). In addition, you can use the available technical means. In the latter case, the machine approaches the mine at a sufficient distance and turns on the microwave emitter. If the mine is equipped with any electronic elements, then powerful radiation literally burns them, which makes the ammunition unusable.
Taking into account the peculiarities of the sabotage activities of recent years, the authors of the project “Foliage” have provided protection against remote-controlled explosive devices. Since such mines are often made using civilian communications (cell phones, pagers, etc.), a remote mine-clearing machine is capable of sending radio signals imitating the signals of telephones and other civilian electronics. Due to this, the detonation of the ammunition should occur at the very moment when the mine enters the zone of the emitters of the demining machine. The equipment of the missile complex for which the pledged charge was intended, at this time is at a great distance from the explosion site and cannot suffer. The stated radius of the electronic systems of the machine is equal to 70 meters. This means that it will be able to find and neutralize explosive devices not only on the road or the roadside, but also at a rather large distance from the road itself.

knowing it is very easy to protect ammunition from microwave. all you need is a metal mesh, ala Faraday

screen against short waves and activation on long ones.
it is not a knight's shield on a mine however.

the screen is not required to cover the entire sphere. the one who makes an ambush can activate from the side of the non-covered part. But you can IR.

Do you know what a microwave is? Any metal or organics containing water will be heated to critical temperatures, which will trigger the fuse (or spoil it) ... theoretically, plastids in a plastic case and with some fuses that transmit radio waves can be microwave resistant, but such did not come up. But the thing is dangerous ... any living creature that falls into the irradiation zone can suffer. Even the plants. The power should be such as to fry any creature in a minute. Before this thing patrols should move and disperse all oncoming.

there is no water in metal. 2.45 GHz radiation will not heat the metal "to critical temperatures."
        ~ 28 MHz radiation can.

Do not pay attention to Lexus - this kid in his Ukraine did not receive a decent education to understand the “smart” things that scientists from various institutes have been working on for decades. He, as expected, rogues - said, believed, forgot and went to pack for another fecal gay parade
