24
The general headquarters of the Turkish army reports that in the territory of the Idlib de-escalation zone, the Turkish Armed Forces observation point was shelled by the militants. Information Service «Anadolu» with reference to the official representative of the Turkish General Staff reports that the terrorists used mortars and unguided rockets.
The terrorist attack in Idlib killed one and injured six Turkish soldiers. In addition, one civilian was injured.
Recall that the Turkish troops are monitoring the ceasefire in the de-escalation zone - along its so-called internal perimeter. At the same time, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Turkey does not report on the militants of which grouping could have attacked the observation point of the Turkish army, nor does it indicate in which particular area of the province this occurred. It is withdrawn that Turkish troops fired back.
At the moment, the Turkish posts are deployed in the settlement of Salve, near the Salman fortress, and also at the height of Sheikh Akil in the areas bordering on Turkey. The day before, it was reported that Turkish troops had advanced additional forces to Idlib to create an 4 observation post in the de-escalation zone.
Recall that it was from the Idlib de-escalation zone that the militants of “Dzhebhat al-Nusra” (* banned in the Russian Federation) and other terrorist groups 3 affiliated with it shot down the Su-25 of the Russian Federation Air Force in February.
