The defense department shifted all responsibility for the military action of the Turkish army to the United States, justifying it with uncontrolled deliveries of the modern Americans weapons the Kurds.

The Kurds themselves accused Russia of treason and breach of contract, without specifying what was going on. They said that Moscow would be directly responsible for the deaths of civilians in Kurdish settlements.

These statements were made against the background of the refusal of the Kurdish leadership of Russia's proposals to allow the official Syrian authorities to return to the Afrin.
