After the massive use of the Iroquois Bell UH-1 transport helicopter in Vietnam, as well as the appearance of the lightweight Bell AH-1 Cobra, the Soviet government decided to create a rotary-wing aircraft that includes the best qualities of both the transport helicopter and the assault helicopter. . So it turned Mi-24 - unpretentious "Crocodile", well-proven in many conflicts around the world.
The helicopter was actively shipped to the Warsaw Pact countries. At the moment, Hungary, Poland and the Czech Republic are armed with more than 40 Mi-24 various modifications. The latter also operates 20 Mi-35 helicopters. Czech Air Force regularly use "Crocodiles" in military exercises. One of these spectacular moments was filmed.
