Yesterday in the Western Military District (ZVO) a large-scale aviation teaching "Ladoga-2012". It is held over the Ladoga landfill and the coastal territory of Lake Ladoga, according to the Press Service of the Western Military District.

To participate in the exercise, at Besovets airfield (Republic of Karelia), about 50 fighter aircraft were deployed from military bases in Kaliningrad, Kursk, Murmansk and Tver regions during the last week.

During the exercise, more than 100 fighter pilots on MiG-29SMT, MiG-31 and Su-27 aircraft will work out air combat elements, including enemy detection, target hijacking and conditional defeat, will launch guided missiles on air and ground targets, as well as interaction in the dark.

Every day, more than 30 airplanes will repeatedly fly into the air and hit over 150 various land and air targets. Dozens of fighter pilots who already have experience in combat shooting in the daytime will make a launch for the first time at night, and the young pilots will use aircraft for the first time in practice.

The exercise "Ladoga-2012" is a planned event for the preparation of military command bodies and troops (forces) of the Western Military District and will end on April 15 this year.

We, too, by the way, last two or three days, are inaudible. Previously, every day the Su-24 flew.
Well, nothing - they will fly home - to Chelyabinsk - they will not go anywhere!
But from a week ago - Mig-31 saw - flew! Although before - it did not seem to be!
Strengthen the defense of the support edge of the state - keep it up! After all, we have 70% of all industry in Russia. And we are the first, if anything, to fall under attack, along with the capital.
          God forbid! crying

Continuous combat training and combat duty is the main occupation of the armed forces in peacetime. Judging by the frequency of reports of various exercises, the RF Armed Forces began to comply with this requirement. Very gratifying.
      Good luck guys.

Why do you think the Baltic states are now in fashion Nazi movements? It’s only beginning to reach them that Hitler took their hands on them, according to my calculations, after 20 years it will begin to reach them that the Red Army freed them, which will cause a surge of communist sentiment in spratland, after about 100 years, they will face a wave of leberalism and geyculture, which is now booming in Europe. It will be difficult to guess what will happen if the Su27 link accidentally flies into the Baltic, it takes a long time to wait ...

It would be nice to bring the redeployment of aircraft from military bases in Kaliningrad, Kursk, the Murmansk and Tver Regions to the Besovets airfield closer to the combat situation, in order to assess the real terms of mobilization. Those. for example, in the event of a conflict, in what time frame they will be able to pull up the necessary forces and means. And even better if they checked with the rear. That would be the conclusions.
But, definitely, even in the usual leisurely mode, this is a great workout.

The main thing that would not be with fanaticism as during the Vostok exercises11, when the Su34 flew all over Russia on additional corrections. Guys are heroes, they don’t talk about this in the media, but the plane is not suitable for long flights, it’s not Tu95 for you, different tasks and different conditions, first of all ergonomics of the pilot, or do you think that the Su34 has a toilet, or you need it in a front-line bomber, quickly to run between combat approaches to the target? and such little things very good. a lot, so make flights on such a machine in 10t km, this is not the presidential Il96 with all the amenities. Naturally, in extreme cases, if very good. it is necessary, but not desirable, at least intermediate plantations of the bone are needed, a toilet is needed, but if such mockery is introduced into the rank of annual in order to bring fear to NATO, I do not think it is advisable, this is hat-making.
Therefore, it is necessary to take such a move very carefully, check once for strength and just understand whether it is real or not - it is necessary, but constantly do so is a big question.

EW EA-6B Prowler aircraft lost some details in the skymaking a training flight near Tokyo. There are no injuries. According to ITAR-TASS, this was reported in the Ministry of Defense of Japan.

One of the details of the plane fell on a freeway in Kanagawa Prefecture (adjacent to Tokyo), landing on the roof of a traveling car. Road police immediately reported the incident to the Japanese defense department.

Search teams visiting the scene found six components of the plane in the fall area. Some of them, as it turned out, fell near residential buildings.

Among the detected "spare parts" of the aircraft - duralumin panel, the length of which is 1,3 m, and width - 0,6 m.

The Japanese Ministry of Defense said that the aircraft EA-6B Prowler - deck aircraft wing of the American nuclear aircraft carrier "George Washington", based in the Navy Yokosuka (Kanagawa prefecture).

Now there is an investigation into the causes and clarification of the circumstances of the incident in the sky.

It happened and flew more than once. Here is one example

The protest note, which was presented by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Evaldas Ignatavichyus to the Ambassador of the Russian Federation in Lithuania Vladimir Chkhikvadze, expressed protest against the violation by the Russian fighter of the air borders of Lithuania, which, according to the Lithuanians, crossed the border for two minutes on March 27 and flew 12 kilometers to airspace of the country. The Baltic countries quite often report a violation of their airspace by Russian planes, in particular, Latvia in February 2012 noticed a Russian supersonic Tu-22M bomber over the Baltic Sea.
It should be noted that the Baltic sky has been protected since 2004 by NATO aviation, the mission has been extended until 2018, and the countries of this region intend to increase funding for this program from 2,2 mln euros last year to 3,5 mln by 2015

        Another example ...

On September 15, 2005, a group of aircraft of the Sixth Army of the Air Force and Air Defense completed the flight from St. Petersburg to one of the airfields of the Kaliningrad region. During the flight, the pilot of Major Valery Troyanov received a message about a loss of orientation. At 16:04 Moscow time, the pilot safely ejected, as by this time the fuel in the car was over. The plane crashed in Lithuania, 55 kilometers from Kaunas. As a result, the fall of victims and destruction was not. Presumably, the reason was the failure of the navigation equipment.

And this news worries me more: the United States begins training flights over the North Pole.
The United States begins training flights over the North Pole.

Those who learned about this historic event from "Lenta" might have the impression that the Americans are preparing to fight polar bears, because it claims that upon arrival at the North Pole, the bomber dropped four BDU-38 free-fall training bombs. The ammunition dump was successful.

Meanwhile, in reality, everything is much more logical and simpler - after flying over the North Pole, the B-2 went on a return course, and training bombs were dropped at a training ground in the United States: "And now a B-2 Spirit out of Edwards Air Force Base, Calif., has been to the top of the world and back.Total time in the air: more than 18 hours with refueling assists by tankers out of Edwards and Fairchild Air Force Base, Wash. Back at Edwards, the crew dropped four unguided BDU-38 bombs over the base's Precision Impact Range Area. " Here is how the Americans themselves explain the task of these tests: "The main objective of the flight was to make sure that the aircraft knew where it was and could get to a weapons release point after flying at such high latitudes, according to Maj. Michael Deaver, the 31st Test and Evaluation Squadron, B-2 Extremely High Frequency Test director. " (both quotes from here). Those. the possibility of hitting a target not at the Pole itself was tested, but after the flight of the Pole.

And one more small detail: perhaps many did not understand why the use of free-falling bombs was practiced from an airplane worth $ 2 billion, did the Americans really regret $ 20 for JDAM? It's still simpler. The BDU-38 practical bomb imitates the B-2's main weapon, the B-61 free-fall nuclear bomb.

Well, what targets can American strategic bombers after flying over the Pole hit with nuclear munitions?

Probably, one of the goals of this flight was to clarify the state of the Russian radar field in the North and search for existing "holes" in it. Potential targets of nuclear strikes in the event of the B-2's combat use in the Arctic may be, in particular, Norilsk, Yakutsk, Dikson, Dudinka, Tiksi, as well as polar airfields intended for dispersing Russian Long-Range Aviation aircraft in wartime. And by the way, a question for those in the know: how our air defense / anti-aircraft defense is organized in the northern direction.

??? The photo is an experimental prototype of the DECK Fighter. In fact, the prototype of the 5 generation. In the case of revision, it is possible, in terms of combat qualities, it could have surpassed the Su-35С (first of all, at the expense of the internal weapons compartment), but the PAK FA would definitely give way. Plus, Su-47 had obvious problems with engines - engines from Mig-31 were used, and this is not ice today.
And most importantly (the devil, as you know, is in the details)
The fact is that only a wing made according to composite technology using carbon fiber reinforced plastics is capable of withstanding the colossal bending loads experienced by a reverse swept wing, where twisting was fought by directional winding of carbon fiber. The main drawback of this material is its non-repairability. Tearing of carbon fibers cannot be repaired and leads to fundamental changes in material properties. Therefore, damaged CFRP components always have to be replaced completely, as, for example, in Formula 1 racing cars. Bullet and fragmentation holes on combat aircraft are usually quickly repaired on the ground. The MiG-25, made of steel, allows damage to be welded even with conventional electric welding. In theory, the damaged carbon fiber wing of the Su-27KM could be completely replaced. Only now, such an aircraft is unlikely to reach the airfield - under colossal loads, the wing that has lost its strength from the very first projectile will instantly collapse in the air. Yes, I gave an unsuccessful example. I’ll say I uploaded the wrong photo. I wanted SU 37. And when already loaded Su 47 it was too late.

you can think of all the aircraft of the last years of production at NATO, and modernization is quite able to cope with obsolescence, and the fact that a large supply of modernization was initially laid in the planes is a great achievement of TECH designers. Well, about 50 a month - I don’t want to comment at all, only a country in a state of war can afford this, and even if there are resources

                Su-27SM, Su-27SM3, MiG-29SMT, MiG-29M2, MiG-31, MiG-31BM - are these not modern aircraft? Sane?

Do you have a proven source? Each hangar went around, each plane personally checked.

Su-27 began operation in 1984. Su-24M began operation in 1983 (despite the fact that they will be removed from service before 2020 and replaced with Su-34). The Su-25 began operating in 1981.
At the same time, the Su-30, Su-34, Su-35S, Su-27SM3, T-50 entered and will be put into service. The rest of the Su and MiG are being modernized.

100 pilots, that's about 4 regiments! Very good. The main thing that would work out all the tasks!

I live here near the Besovets airfield, but I don’t see much intensity. Although the weather is flying.

An established stereotype that is always puzzling. It's never easy in battle. The original sounded like this - "Hard in learning - easy on the hike" © Suvorov
I do not give links to the original source, as I read about it in the magazine "before the Internet"

Thanks "for the tip", I myself did not even think about the original source, I graduated from a military school during the Soviet era, practically this "quote" was at every department.

These words are attributed to Alexander Vasilievich Suvorov. However a careful study of the theoretical legacy of the great commander reveals that he did not say anything like that.

In fact, the generalissimo claimed that "Easy to learn - hard to hike, hard to learn - easy to hike." Moreover, this phrase was not spoken in the instructions, orders and reports of the military leader, but in one of his private letters. What is characteristic: in the most important works of Alexander Vasilievich - “Regimental Institution” and “The Science of Winning” - it was not included in them. But the Soviet and Russian military leaders clung to this phrase, justifying their own dishonesty allegedly by the authority of a military genius.

The exercise "Ladoga-2012" is a planned event for the preparation of military command bodies and troops (forces) of the Western Military District and will end on April 15 this year.

It is necessary to increase the intensity of flights ...
A pilot in a store should fly by plane ... And park near the entrance ...
