China Radio International:
In 2018, Russia will have a presidential election. How will these choices affect relations with China?
Xinhua:
Russia and China have announced a strategy for a single belt, a single path. How do you assess the Russian-Chinese relations? How do you assess the decisions of the CPC Congress in terms of the development of international relations?
Vladimir Putin:
China is our largest strategic partner. We have the largest turnover with China. Today it is about 63 billion dollars. We launched several major projects together with China, including the Yamal-LNG project. China is the largest investor in these projects. We have projects in space, aviation, energy.
As for the elections in Russia, I have full confidence that relations with China have a national consensus, and therefore relations with the PRC will remain unchanged after the elections.
Question from NTV:
Will the current government survive the elections?
The president:
I consider the work of our government satisfactory. This is evidenced by a return to sustainable economic growth, sustainable macroeconomic development. The influx of investments from abroad is still a matter of trust in the government. I think that it is premature to raise the issue of personnel changes today.
