The explosion at the largest gas hub in Austria. Deliveries from Russia at risk?

90
From Austria come information about the explosion at the largest gas distribution station in Baumgarten. Gas distribution station is located near the border with Slovakia. As a result of the explosion a strong fire broke out. At least one dead and 50 injured are known.

The fire can be seen from a distance of several kilometers from the source of fire. According to preliminary data, technical problems caused the explosion.

Due to the incident at the gas transmission and gas storage infrastructure in Austria, Russian gas supplies to a number of EU countries were disrupted. In particular, problems have arisen with the transit of “blue fuel” to the southern and south-eastern countries of the European Union.

We are talking about Italy, Hungary, Slovakia, Slovenia and Croatia. At the same time, problems arose with the so-called reverse gas supplies from Slovakia and Hungary to Ukraine. In particular, there was a sharp decline in transit volumes along the so-called Uzhgorod corridor by the Slovak operator Eustream.

The press service of Gas Connect Austria reports that in a crisis situation it is necessary “to replace imported gas with our own energy sources”. In this case, it is stated that such a substitution cannot be long.

It is noted that not only Russian gas, but also gas from Norway entered the terminal of Austrian Baumgarten.

According to the latest data, there are no Russians among the dead and injured.

I wonder who arranged these technical “problems” with Austria’s largest gas hub.
They are exclusively beneficial only to the USA - to American gas multinational companies and to the Pentagon with its supranational globalist position in the EU countries as part of NATO!

But it is also logically advantageous for us, so that everyone would think since you are "who benefits from this? USA" so it’s not so simple, but maybe it’s really just an accident. Industrial infrastructure is not to sign and rearrange papers at the table.

Nothing like this! To Russia this is very - to the extreme - not profitable!
The economic loss for Russia far exceeds any dividends from any Russian political manipulations with gas in the same Europe!

I do not agree with you. This does not harm us in any way. After all, it’s not from the pipe that they are heated there. A couple of months will use gas from storage facilities, and then they will get theirs.

And the listed countries that fell into this "force majeure" for any have gas reserves for a period of two, three months to six months. it would be easier to Romania, Bulgaria, Slovakia. But there is no Italy.
Europe has a problem in that there are practically no rocky pipelines that could transfer gas from one source to another. And Europe does not want to solve this problem.

It doesn’t matter who will be the supplier, but there is no possibility to quickly transfer gas from France, for example, to Germany. In principle, even if you bring liquefied gas now, it will still not be possible to transfer it from northern ports to Italy, because all the same, everything goes through the Austrian hub.
Those. you need to do something like a ring (if Europe wants to, of course, not depend on gas suppliers). But they just don’t want to do this - it’s not profitable.

There’s a version that the USSR bought (well, roughly) pressure sensors and they were obviously damaged and showed less than necessary, they had to increase the pressure that caused the pipe to rupture (the pipes were also taken from the Germans) And the United States told Europe that the pipe with our gas is dangerous.

Unexpectedly, albeit predictably ... Regardless of the causes of the accident, its consequences will be used to combat the Russian export of hydrocarbons ... This is the beginning of a new stage in the "battle for Europe" that has been ongoing throughout the post-war era. It’s very difficult to say whether it is enough to resist the policy of substituting for LNG in Russian gas (“red gas”) ... Energy export, in principle, can be afforded only by a very powerful, including, and in the military sense, power. A similar situation could have developed in the 60-ies. of the last century ("Soviet gas project and the events of the 1968 of the year in Czechoslovakia"), but then all possible provocations were resolutely suppressed by the famous troop entry into Czechoslovakia. Is there today not only an opportunity for such actions, but also half a million perfectly trained soldiers with five thousand units of armored vehicles, the question, of course, is rhetorical ...

Weird question! Austria (like Europe as a whole) is itself interested in uninterrupted Russian gas. An alternative, expensive LNG, Europeans are not happy at all ... The problem is different - how to protect the traditional market from real overseas threats.

Who there loved to shake with their ... "third energy packages"? That we cannot load more than 50% of the existing pipelines so that there is no unfair competition? It would be appropriate - they will ask - do not download!

so long ago it was possible to blow the Ukrainian pipe

Why blast us something? We have a valve in the sleeve as they say winked And someone may suffer from the explosion, God forbid. And in Austria, obviously, some regular smelly rimbaud worked.

"..the next smelly rimbaud ..." - smiled !!!

In a surprising way, he shandarahnul in one of the most non-hostile to Russia today to European countries. We are waiting for something similar in Belgium and Serbia.

The press service of Gas Connect Austria reports that in a crisis situation it is necessary “to replace imported gas with our own energy sources”. In this case, it is stated that such a substitution cannot be long.

There won't be enough forests for a long time!
