Russia withdraws troops from Syria before a possible clash with the US
32
The Syrian army, supported by Hezbollah, began stripping the “cauldron” formed after taking control of the left bank of the Euphrates River. In the early days of the fighting, government forces managed to free about two thousand square kilometers of terrorists.
At the same time, up to 3 thousands of ISIL militants remain in Iraqi territory. Such data leads coalition, led by the United States. Most of them are located in the Syrian desert (the name of the desert, spread out in the territories of Syria, Jordan, Iraq and Saudi Arabia). The remaining militants have to build up shock forces to break out of yet another "cauldron" in Iraq. Indeed, after the liberation of the valley of the Euphrates River, they were locked up by Syria.
It should be noted that the terrorists stepped up in several directions at once. In particular, the difficult situation remains in the province of Idlib. There, the Syrian, Iranian and Russian alliance is preparing a large-scale operation against the Hayat Tahrir ash-Sham group, which, according to the United States, is a "moderate opposition." The Americans have already said they will not allow the use of force against them. The question arises whether Russian President Vladimir Putin’s decision on the withdrawal of the Russian contingent from Syria would not be hasty?
