The first phase of the gas liquefaction plant Yamal LNG has been put into operation. Few people believed in the possibility of creating a truly huge and high-tech enterprise in the midst of deserted Arctic expanses. But today we are witnessing how, thanks to the hard work of our compatriots, the largest plant in the country appeared.
Moreover, railways, bridges, seaports and even an airfield were built. All this is necessary not only for the production of liquefied gas: this infrastructure will give impetus to the development of the region as a whole.
The Yamal LNG project is extremely important as a tool for the development of the Arctic. After all, the Northern Sea Route will be used to deliver gas to consumers, which in the near future will seriously compete with the Suez Canal.
