S-350 "Vityaz" in action: in South Korea showed a new air defense system
11
South Korea’s air defense forces conduct exercises almost every two months. And this is not surprising: the situation around the DPRK is heating up every day. During his recent visit to Japan, US President Donald Trump once again reminded that the States reserve the possibility of a forceful solution to the North Korean problem. These words provoked support in Japan itself. However, the South Koreans were not happy about it - after all, they, in the event of the outbreak of war, will take the brunt of their northern neighbor.
At the last air defense exercises, the “southerners” demonstrated the near-ground, medium and long-range air defense systems, including the Korean version of the Vityaz C-350 air defense system (the system was developed jointly by two countries), which is called KM-SAM (“Cheolmae-2” ).
