ISIS suffers a crushing defeat both in Syria and in Iraq. Taking advantage of the “negotiation pause” between ISIS pro-American militants and terrorists, Syrian special forces supported by Russian aviation crushed the enemy’s defenses in Deir ez-Zor, thereby marking the capture of the city. Now the only large settlement that is currently under the control of ISIS militants on the highway between Deir ez-Zor and Baghdad is the city of Abu Kamal.
