Shelling has increased again this week. Especially, towards the end of the week. The schedule of 2015-2016 attacks of the year came back again, when it was relatively calm all week, and since Friday evening until Monday, the shelling increased sharply, then again all week it was relatively quiet. Relatively, this is when the number of attacks does not exceed 40 - 50 once a day, in contrast to the winter period, when on average a day of shelling was 160-180, and on weekends to 280 per day.
Shelling - this can be one turn from a large-caliber machine gun or 60 minute mortar and art shelling. Often, all types of weapons are involved in a single shelling, including the MLRS. And all this is one shelling.
After the rotation, two weeks of shelling was a lot, but still below the average. But on Friday, an order was issued from Kiev and tons of mines and shells fell on us. Why do I think so? Yes, because if one area of the front or a village is shelled, this is one situation. And when, over 150 km, they simultaneously start firing with mortars, artillery and tanks, and do not hesitate to use heavy weapons and massively for several hours - this is a different situation.
This week, violent battles began on Friday with 16 hours, and strong shelling began with 19 hours. At what, as they say residents do not remember such attacks for almost two years. One thing "to hear the front" and another thing when arriving in residential buildings.
Separately, I want to say about the losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, if you remember, in 2014-2015, all losses were recorded as missing or deserters. We argued that most of those recorded as deserters died. The commanders of companies, battalions and brigades concealed the truth and saved themselves from the general staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and in the general staff they did the same to save their careers. Time has passed and now, in order not to pay compensation to relatives, dead soldiers and officers of the Supreme Court of Ukraine are recorded in non-combat losses.
