The court in Tajikistan did not justify the pilots
Recall that the Russian and Estonian pilots Sadovnichy and Rudenko Kurgan-Tyube court of Tajikistan sentenced to 8,5 years in prison. The pilots were charged with illegal border crossing, violation of international transport rules and smuggling. Aircraft AN-72 and aviation the engine was confiscated in favor of the state. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation called this verdict "extremely harsh and politically biased." The so-called “pilots' business” led to a serious complication of relations between Moscow and Dushanbe. A week later, the court revised the sentence: the pilots were given much shorter sentences, and they were released under an amnesty in the courtroom. The court’s decision regarding the confiscation of AN-72 aircraft remained unchanged.
Boboev said that the response from the court followed after a lawyer pilots sent a supervisory complaint from 21 in February of this year, demanding full justification of the pilots.
As the lawyer said, the judge Shamsiddin Timurov did not submit the pilots' complaint to the presidium of the regional court for consideration and decided to reject it as not having a basis. According to Boboev, Judge Timurov believes that the sentencing of the Kurgan-Tyube court was within the framework of the law.
The lawyers of the pilots, who do not agree with the wording, are preparing a complaint addressed to Muhabbat Azizova, the chairman of the regional court. According to Boboev, the actions of the pilots Sadovnichy and Rudenko do not contain the elements of crimes that are specified in the articles 335 (illegal crossing of the state border) and 289 (smuggling) of the Criminal Code of Tajikistan.
