At dawn 25 October 1983, the United States of America begins a secret military operation against the friendly Soviet Union Grenada.
October 30, in the midst of fighting, in the area of movement of the US Navy suddenly pops up the Soviet submarine K-324. In the USSR, nuclear-powered ships of this class are called "pike", in America - the "Black Prince". The appearance of the "Black Prince" is shocking the Pentagon. The boat K-324 is armed with the most modern cruise missiles with atomic warheads. 10 days in the central Atlantic was a local war that threatened to escalate into 3-th world.
The picture tells story of the very 10 days of the autumn of the year 1983, which can be called the Caribbean crisis-2. They were preceded by the events of a hot political autumn: the Korean Boeing was shot down, the US began to deploy Pershing-2 missiles in Europe, the USSR was building an airport on the island of Grenada in the Caribbean, and NATO troops attacked the island.
Autumn 1983 of the year can be considered one of the highest peaks of the Cold War. The world was saved from disaster by endurance and the heroism of our submariners.
