On August 31, a demonstration of the new Russian promising aviation frontline aviation complex (PAK FA) to representatives of the Ministry of Defense and the Indian Air Force, as well as the Indian aircraft manufacturing corporation HAL.
Acquaintance with a promising complex took place in the framework of the contract preparation process between the United Aircraft Building Corporation (UAC) and the HAL corporation on the joint development of a fifth-generation fighter. It is assumed that such an agreement may be signed in the near future.
The current PAK FA project may form the basis for a future joint Russian-Indian fighter. The first flight of the PAK FA took place on January 29, 2010. During yesterday's demonstration, the Indian delegation was shown the capabilities of the new machine. The Russian Ministry of Defense expects to receive the first such aircraft in the 2015 year. The cost of each generation 5 aircraft will be about 100 million. US dollars.
