The CSTO secretariat noted that for the first time, in fact, several exercises of various orientations will be held within the framework of a single plan of operational-strategic maneuvers.
“These are exercises of the intelligence units of the armed forces of the CSTO Poisk-2017 member states, the Collective Rapid Reaction Forces of the CSTO Interaction-2017 and the CSTO Unbreakable Brotherhood-2017 Peacekeeping Forces. They will be held from 3 to 20 on October 2017 of the year in Russia, Armenia and Kazakhstan, ”the secretariat said.
It is reported that during the maneuvers "it is planned to work out the organization and conduct of reconnaissance, a joint operation to localize the armed conflict in the Caucasus region of collective security, as well as the preparation and conduct of a peacekeeping operation by the Collective Peacekeeping Forces of the CSTO."
Recall that the CSTO includes Armenia, Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.
