Ukraine allowed the assembly of Zenit missiles by Russia

37
Ukraine theoretically allows for the final Russian assembly of Ukrainian Zenit launch vehicles at the launch site of the Sea Launch program, although this is very difficult to accomplish, a representative of the Ukrainian state-owned enterprise Yuzhmash said.

Theoretically this is possible, but very difficult. It is actually necessary to build a factory in order not only to carry out the final assembly of the engine and rocket equipment, but also to check the quality of the entire product.
- conveys his words TASS.

So he commented on the refusal of Russia from a complete set of Ukrainian Zenit launch vehicles.

Ukraine allowed the assembly of Zenit missiles by Russia

A company representative noted that the launch platform Sea Launch is deployed in the port of Long Beach (USA) and at the Baikonur launch complex, and it is very difficult to organize an assembly there - it is profitable only when ordering 20-30 engines. At the same time, according to him, “Russian colleagues are not enthusiastic about Russia's refusal to supply components to Yuzhmash.”

2 June was informed that under the Sea Launch project, Yuzhmash signed a contract for 12 launch vehicles Zenit with S7 Sea Launch Limited, registered in the United States.

However, Russia refused to supply Yuzhmash with components for missiles - control systems and the first stage engine, which will be delivered directly to the launch site, bypassing Ukraine.

No one is going to save the missile industry of the outskirts. Unfortunately, an order for Yuzhmash products is a necessary measure. In Russia, there are currently no missiles suitable for sea launches. Our experts are working on the Sunkar missile, but it will only be created in a few years. State funding for the project will begin in 2020.
S7 Sea Launch Limited is indeed a Russian company that was created in the fall of 2016, when the S7 group signed a contract with Sea Launch to purchase the Sea Launch space-rocket complex. The subject of the transaction was the Sea Launch Commander, the Odyssey platform and ground equipment in the US port of Long Beach.

The last phrase of my post: Business is business. Money must be beaten off.
What didn’t you like? Distrust of what?
The Russian company bought a sea launch. In practice, such purchases draw up money borrowed from banks — loans that need to be paid (repaid). The "owner" of the launch absolutely does not care what kind of media will work on the satellite output!
Let me remind you that Yuzhmash was one of the shareholders of this sea launch.
          Please explain more clearly! hi

You can test the engines at least two hundred times. But the final assembly and testing of the Zenit launch vehicle took place at Yuzhmash. And the writer is right. If we want to launch Zenit rockets, we will be forced to build a plant for the final assembly and testing of products.
In this case, whether we like it or not, Yuzhmash is really an important link if we want to exploit the Sea Launch not in 2022-2025, but now

And they did it right that they refused. Dill in its role, the aggressor, give it, give it to you.

Of course it’s right that they refused. Another 5-7 years, “Sea Launch” will rust at the pier, and competitors will come up with something. After which the Sea Launch will be superfluous. After all, the main thing is "dill" do not give anything. You are like that collective farmer who caught a goldfish and demanded that his neighbor have everything doubled. You can score on Yuzhmash for political reasons. But now is not the time to “fingers fan” and say that everyone does not care, and we will not deal with Ukrainians. Now it’s more expensive for yourself ...

Here the problem is not that Russia does not want, the problem is that Ukraine can no longer. I, too, were lordly allowed to build Ukrainian missiles by Russia. Ugh on you, on European Zimbabwe! They still consider themselves to be the navel of the Earth, still consider themselves to be the breadbasket and nurse of Russia, as was said about them in the USSR. It’s just that there was no breadbasket and nurse of the USSR, on the contrary, it fed the RSFSR:
