Today in Moscow on the Alley, the rulers of the Fatherland opened several busts. These are busts of Vladimir Lenin, Joseph Stalin and all the leaders of the USSR up to Mikhail Gorbachev. The opening ceremony was attended by Deputy Minister of Culture Alexander Zhuravsky. His statement leads the news agency Interfax:
Today we open the second turn. It is a symbol of the continuity of our stories, stories without crossed out names. This story is not over, this Alley goes to eternity, and I want to believe that it will grow. As long as there is a national history, there will be statesmen who will occupy a worthy place on this Alley.
The photo of the bust of Joseph Stalin opened today on the Alley is published on his page in Twitter public figure Oleg Yeremeyev:
For reference: The rulers alley is created by the Russian Military History Association (Russian Military Historical Society) in a public garden at Petroverigsky Lane. In the building, near which the Alley is located, there is a museum of military uniform.
To date, the alley already has 40 busts. These are busts of rulers from Prince Rurik to the head of the provisional government of Kerensky, as well as all the leaders of the USSR.
The famous sculptor Zurab Tsereteli said that he was ready to create a bust of the current president of Russia Vladimir Putin for the Alley of rulers.
It is known that 1 February 2018, the bust of the first president of the Russian Federation Boris Yeltsin (on his birthday) will be installed on the Alley of rulers.
