There is no place for storage of radioactive waste in the Chernobyl exclusion zone.

22
Representatives of the Ukrainian press service State Agency for the management of the exclusion zone publish a summary of the status of the storage of nuclear waste. The submission says that about 20 thousand cubic meters of radioactive waste in a liquid state managed to accumulate in the Chernobyl zone. This waste is located in special containers on the territory of two previously created repositories.

Agency specialists say that if we talk about processing all this waste, then it may take at least 29 years. However, even if recycling takes place, it will lead to the appearance of 300 thousands of packages to be disposed of. This is more than 4 times the storage capacity of the Vektor special production complex. Storage is designed only for 70 thousands of such packages.

There is no place for storage of radioactive waste in the Chernobyl exclusion zone.

Meanwhile, it is reported about the beginning of the relevant work.

Apparently, the Ukrainian side is once again trying to get funds from foreign partners who understand that Ukraine itself is not going to engage in efficient disposal of nuclear waste and its storage (without external financial investments).

Recall that earlier in the Chernobyl zone was completed the construction of a new sarcophagus, the funds for which were allocated to the European partners of Kiev, clearly not willing to face the "nuclear" surprises.

Gathering all the Kiev cannibals there and masoning them is a good place for them. And you can mutate. And the beast around. And there is someone alive to eat, burn and roll up. They will like it. And at home on the edge.

The conclusion is correct. Come on, Europe, otherwise it will be worse for you. Independent of its principles does not change.

It is clear that they themselves are not going to do anything, but when receiving money it is not known how it will all end.

Japan allocated several billion to Chernobyl (just after the Maidan), but it seems to me that the money went to the war. hi

He was a participant in the elimination of this tragedy by the USSR Ministry of Radio Industry. My colleagues from aviation enterprises have already died from exposure. I can say that assistance can be provided, but from all over Europe, waste will be transported to Ukraine without processing. Ukraine turn into a landfill. And what beautiful places were in Pripyat in this area. The Radio Meter plant (Kiev plant of the USSR Ministry of Radio Industry) had a recreation center for employees there. I have the honor.

You know, the EU will definitely find money for the burial places, it will not go anywhere. Only we need strict control of funds from outside. Specialists are needed, both in the development field, and the construction of storage facilities, and also not Ukrainians. If this is not done, then Ukraine will move, at least to direct, at least to indirect blackmail - and inaction of the EU will lead to a sad result (1957 Chelyabinsk Mayak). And it will affect the whole of Europe and Russia, including (taking into account the Wind Rose). My friend, he died in half a year, worked there on UAZ - he rotted all this time, half a year - alive.

I apologize for my 5 kopecks in the discussion. Nobody will give live money to Ruin: equipment, monitoring, design, etc., as with military assistance from the USA, "I think so!"

Yes, no difference, money, or equipment with experts. This is no longer politics, a catastrophe is brewing for adjacent and not only their countries. Russia will certainly make its contribution, although it has already contributed to the extinguishing and conservation of the reactor. In total, 210 thousand people died from the accident. Kiev loves for free, but here it’s completely different.

Ukraine is clearly not going to deal with the effective disposal of nuclear waste and its storage (without external financial injections).

Yes, and obviously is not going to with external financial injections ... wink

Ukraine will finally achieve the allocation of funds from the West in order to become also a nuclear garbage dump. It confuses only one, because there in the EU they see this regime very well and understand that they are creating a nuclear dump at their side and guarantees that in the end it will not become a mine there is no delayed action!

It seems to me that in this situation, “Oaths of Muscovites” will benefit in the future, BN-800 is already working, BN-1200 will be built according to the results of BN-800, here we will recycle all waste into fuel, withdraw money twice - for waste disposal and for the supply of fuel elements

Liquid radioactive waste is most likely water from the reactor core.
