Israeli military intercepted unmanned aerial vehicle that attempted to enter Israeli airspace above the Golan Heights
"It was informed.
Later, the Israeli Defense Forces spokesman stated that the unmanned aerial vehicle shot down by the Israeli military over the border with Syria was of Iranian production and was used by militants from the Lebanese Hezbollah movement.
Our military spotted an unmanned aerial vehicle, which, according to our understanding, was controlled by representatives of Hezbollah. It was an Iranian-made drone that took off from Damascus airport and carried out a reconnaissance mission along the border. To intercept drone, which entered the demilitarized zone, fighters were raised, but their intervention was not required. The UAV was shot down by one Patriot missile. According to our information, it fell between Ahmadiyya and Quneitra, in the Golan demilitarized zone.
Said the officer.
