Armed UAZ-3151 in Syria

33
As the news portal "Messenger of Mordovia”, Syrian government forces will continue to actively use UAZ-3151 cars as platforms for the installation of heavy machine guns.

Armed UAZ-3151 in Syria

Mainly mounted 12,7-mm large-caliber DShK, sometimes there are cars with more powerful 14,5-mm KPV. High maneuverability allows high-maneuverable operations in desert conditions.

In Iraq, the UAZ-3151 installed recoilless rifles and mounted grenade launchers.

The development of the machine began in the 1950-ies. The first model, called the UAZ-460, was designed in the 1958 year. The Soviet car turned out to be powerful, capable of carrying people and loads off-road, as well as pulling trailers and light implements. But the convenience and comfort of the car could not boast. In 1964, a trial batch of modified cars was released, named UAZ-469. In the 1985, the 469 model was upgraded, the new car was named the UAZ-3151. Her purchases for the needs of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation stopped in 2011 year.

But it worked, and not badly, as they say, everything new is well forgotten old.

And at every turn the military "tricks" are repeated, only of a different technical level.

Exactly . Therefore, you should learn History, and not redraw it in your own way.

UAZ is a good car ... for off-road driving. And not only. In 2014, one 469 even in 1989 produced a very good serve, even a life saved ...
    So a great choice!

Militants love Toyota because they’re strong enough
the engine withstands for a long time without bulkheads, do not eat gasoline. Repair in any

"The American Jeep was apparently taken as the basis." But is it okay that the USSR designed and produced its own jeeps without Jeeps? For example, the same GAZ-61, and then based on their components and assemblies GAZ-67?

In Ichkeria, “cliffs” and DShK even put an “ant” on Tula motor scooters. We had a case when such a device captured from a militant was wound up while trying to shoot and quickly went along the road. And you can recall that in the Sipai regiments during the time of Queen Victoria, guns were mounted on elephants. In short, everyone goes crazy in his own way.
