Iraq and Russia resumed air traffic interrupted 13 years ago
Iraqi airline Iraqi Airways today made its first flight to Moscow in 13 years, reports RIA News.
On board the ship, which landed at Vnukovo, was a delegation led by Iraqi Transport Minister Kazem Hamami.
The agency notes that the governments of Russia and Iraq have agreed to open regular direct communication between the cities of the two countries in 2015 year. Then the meeting participants also decided to consider the possibility of flying from the city of Erbil (Iraq) to St. Petersburg and Kazan.
