From hate for Putin to love for ...
October 14 * 2014 of the year I walked around Kharkov with the soldiers who had survived the battles of the recently-established Azov Regiment and other most "ideologically correct" representatives of various parts of the Kiev regime. Much of it was new, but the most complete picture of Putin and the true reasons that form the attitude towards him and Russia I learned exactly from communication with the security forces Poroshenko.
Although at the beginning of this "moves", Putin and Russia did not think. Just walked along the Sumy and recalled Mayakovsky’s poems about my hometown:
One machine is just a machine.
Many machines - workshop.
One b ... is just b ....
Many b ... dei - Sumskaya.
He remembered, looked around and understood - yes - a lot. Just over two thousand. They were collected in all the cities and villages to collect at least some. For us, the Kharkiv citizens, a little earlier, coming out at the one hundred thousandth rally, the march of nedobitkov looked pitiful.
But much more interesting and important was to be among them. It was precisely the punishers who marched through the Donbas and survived in the boilers. Next to them were youngsters from all kinds of "Shchidny corps" and other groups supporting the neo-Nazi order in the regional centers. Excellent cut most "uporotyh" Nazis in the same ranks. Sure that everything is here. Therefore, they spoke without embarrassment.
Of course, in the breaks between traditional chants. One of which was the traditional for them "Putin x ... oh." I will not lie that they shouted with gusto, nobody tore their pharynxes, but in the intervals, just inspired and inspired, the topic of Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin was discussed.
Let me remind you - October 14 2014 of the year. They are, theoretically, a holiday. Their power and 8 months are not. Poroshenko became president and less than 5 months ago. One and a half to two months as their “north wind” almost blew away two meters underground. Well, what could they say about a Russian president that I didn't know?
As it turned out - a lot.
It turns out that the president of Russia is "a very competent Supreme Commander." Especially if you compare it with the “alcoholic Poroshenko, whose place is on that very Christmas tree” that stood on Independence Square in Kiev. Fathers-commanders do not deserve a good word. Nobody said that they were “Putin's agents” - spies and others in general from the field of agitprop, nobody harbored any illusions here.
They told about the lack of talent and cowardice, making money on army property and selfish interests. And finished: "But Putin built a real army. And he armed it not with anything, but as it should."
It makes no sense to retell everything that was said about Putin. The bottom line is that I have not heard a single bad word about him. As well as objections even from someone (and heated by beer and vodka spoke loudly and sharply). But then an unexpected refrain was repeated: “Yes, Putin is a real man. We would have such a president.” And, of course, everyone spoke exclusively in Russian. Although, I repeat, the Nazis from Azov were far from the march.
And it was very difficult to keep a smile when these words were interrupted by a common choir "Putin la la la la."
Subsequently, before the evacuation at the end of the year, I, by the nature of my work, had more than once talked with the most loyal "Reich case" and honored sergeants and officers of very different subordination. And every time I was convinced that this really sincere attitude in the Russian president was not a “swamp” and not ordinary citizens living in the Kiev regime controlled by the territory.
And on camera, yes, one and all hate the Russian president and wish him the very worst. Most people even hate him on the move.
And this is precisely the reason for the hatred, sincere and pure, of all senior officials and Poroshenko himself. They just know the attitude to Putin and the population, and those warriors on whose bayonets they rely. They know the true attitude towards themselves and the army, and the police, and ordinary citizens.
And they are well aware that as soon as the foreign policy conjuncture changes a little, there will be no one to rely on them within the country. Moreover, all these militants themselves with their own and hang. And with much more enthusiasm than any villager from the Galician or Sumy villages.
And this attitude towards Putin, as well as towards Russia and Russians, is characteristic not only of Ukraine. Quite regular public opinion polls show that in the former republics of the USSR and in the European Union, the population does not at all share the officially voiced position of the ruling elites.
For example, the other day Lithuanian edition LRT published information that more than 60% of Lithuanian people watch Russian television every day, 25% of Lithuanians and 70% of Russians and Poles living in the country admitted their sympathy for Russian President Vladimir Putin.
But still it is necessary to make an amendment to the fact that not everyone risks admitting to such a thing. Just in case.
And this is an example from Lithuania, which has long been integrated into both the European Union and NATO. From the state in which Russophobia is the basis of state policy and which has been actively introduced into the minds of citizens for at least 26 years - the second generation is growing up. Moreover, in Lithuania there are not even "non-citizens".
Let me remind you another fact. At the end of last year, German TV channels were broadcasting a speech from the President of Russia to the Federal Assembly and simultaneously conducted a telephone survey: "Do you trust Putin?". And 81% answered "YES".
It is this real attitude of people towards Russia and towards its president that politicians are constantly pushing politicians in the Baltic States and in other countries of the European Union (and not the European Union) to increase anti-Russian hysteria. This is not so much (or not only) jealousy of the much more popular head of state, but also the fear of his own collapse. The collapse of the very Russophobia, which is an integral part of their personal power. A power that is so sweet.
And that so do not want to lose.
* - October 14 is considered the day of formation of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA) and is celebrated as a substitute for the Day of the Soviet Army and the Naval fleet.
