The Russian Ka-226T multi-purpose helicopter successfully completed a test cycle in Iran, which took place at extremely high temperatures (+ 50 degrees), the press service of the Russian Helicopters holding told reporters on Wednesday.

The tests were carried out in the framework of a memorandum signed by Russian Helicopters and the Iran Helicopter Support and Renewal Company (IHSRC) at the HeliRussia international exhibition in May.

Ka-226T successfully passed tests in Iran

Russian Helicopters, with the support of the Iranian company IHSRC, successfully conducted XA NUMX of the Ka-2017T multi-purpose helicopter in Iran during August-September, the results of which confirmed the possibility of operating the rotary-wing machine under conditions of extremely high temperatures (+ 226 degrees Celsius-ed .)
- says the message.

According to Andrei Boginsky, Director General of Russian Helicopters, a number of countries in the Middle East region, including Iran, are now interested in light multi-purpose helicopters to solve fire, patrol, evacuation and medical tasks.

Passed tests Ka-226T proved that this machine is able to operate in critical temperature conditions, which is certainly important for potential operators. I hope that a number of agreements on the supply of these helicopters will be reached soon.
- he noted.

The Ka-226T lightweight multi-purpose helicopter with a carrier system made according to a twin-screw coaxial scheme has a maximum take-off weight of 3,6 tons and is capable of carrying up to 1 tons of payload. The main distinctive feature of the helicopter is the modularity of its design - the Ka-226Т easily installs a transport cabin, the design of which allows you to carry up to six people, or modules equipped with special equipment, RIA News.

Good news. Confirms the reliability of domestic helicopter technology. And additional advertising also does not hurt. Now there is something to tell potential customers from the Middle East.

Safran - say no (dual purpose - UN sanctions for 5 years). And the contract is all. Allison will definitely say no - and with Allison it’s called Ka-226A and it was the MO that ordered it until the crane was closed.

And again the question arises of creating a domestic engine with a capacity of 500-1000 hp. Such engines would be suitable for a turboprop airplane of initial training, for example.

It would be good if the development of such an engine was included in the state program. But, all these are dreams, dreams ...

      Good news.

What good is there? The Ka-26 is already a hundred years old on Saturday. Potential market for thousands of helicopters. And the good engine for him did not bother to do. In fact, they gave the niche of light helicopters to Americans, French and others.

And where are such helicopters with us, gentlemen, good ones? How can they roll in a new normal one, then they sell it “over the hill”, but don’t need it, let them go on carts angry

Sales over the hill will provide our military-industrial complex with orders. This money will go to further development, modernization and other needs of industry.
Well, we don’t have money to buy our helicopters. Medvedev put everything on tablets. Yes to other gadgets.

Val. There are two troubles - Allison, who fulfilled the old contract, but will not conclude a new one. Well, the need for MO in these machines. She is doubtful. They believe that the purchased Ka-226 and Ansats are enough.

Once upon a time, lobed cars produced their engines, but they did not fit into the dimensions of the fuselage

These were piston engines. And about foreign engines .. Yes, they gave a niche, but here options like with Siemens can go through. Indescribable ways of the Lord. Although, of course, your engine is necessary.

Yes, calm down, there will be no sales to Iran (sanctions) due to imported engines.

And the Russian Ministry of Defense will also not buy them for two reasons - with an imported engine due to sanctions and with a native engine due to its absence.

Another long wait.Technodinamika, within the framework of the import substitution program, develops TD-700 series cruise engines designed for Ka-226 and Ansat light helicopters. They are expected to replace existing engines produced by Pratt & Whitney (USA) and Turbomeca [b] (France) within four years 4 years! Sadness. Although the terms are real.

As a student, in 1985, he saw something similar without two engines on the sides (that is, there was no Ka-26). So this new product is more than 30 years old. And the modularity was already Ka-26 and I remember how in the autumn we had cotton pollinators in which the tank for pesticides changed for half an hour to a cabin with 6 seats.

Everything is fine, only the Russian engine needs to be put there instead of French!
