1612 candidates started their journey in HQS
9 September in Voronezh were sworn in by the cadets of the next set of the Academy of the VKS named after Zhukovsky and Gagarin. 1612 people have embarked on a five-year training path, at the end of which they must become technical specialists of aerospace forces.
The competition this year was surprisingly high: on average, the 4,5 man was in place, but in some specialties the man reached 12.
The action was commanded by the head of the Academy, Colonel-General Zibrov.
The Commander-in-Chief of the VKS Colonel-General Bondarev addressed the cadets with a brief message.
Tribunes in the central square of the city were small, but filled to capacity.
The swearing went on for quite a while, but no one grumbled.
During a small press conference, Colonel-General Zibrov noted a high level of admission, not only in terms of knowledge, but also very good physical training.
Viktor N. Bondarev, Commander-in-Chief of the All-Union Military Space Council, who pays great attention to the affairs of the Academy, answering one of the questions, noted that the Academy is able to accept more cadets. And two and a half, and three thousand - not the limit. The question is not quantity, but quality.
Tomorrow Russian VKS requires increasingly high professionalism of technical staff. So, not quantity, but quality and only quality.
It is clear that not all of the 1612 who took the oath after five years on the same square will receive lieutenant shoulder straps. But to strive to ensure that the losses were minimal, the cadets will have to struggle.
In general, the commander-in-chief of the VKS was pleased.
