In the ranking of the priorities of the Moldovan government immediately after personal enrichment, it seems that there is opposition to some Russian propaganda. In their speeches, pro-Western politicians often see the root causes of the plight of citizens in the broadcasting of Russian-language media, and their Western curators from the US Embassy and other State Department institutions accuse certain “pro-Russian” journalists of reducing the level of Moldovans' confidence in the ideas of European integration.
Any adequate person who has lived for several days on the banks of the Dniester clearly understands that he is not paid by the Sputnik edition of the beggar’s salary, it’s not the Glavred Editor of Komsomolskaya Pravda who raises utility rates, but forces him to leave his native village in search of earnings in Russia or Europe is clearly not the editor-in-chief of AiF.
What are the goals pursued by the pro-Western government and their "leaders" from across the ocean?
People versed in Moldavian reality will state without hesitation that these are all elements of internal political confrontation. The largest media mogul oligarch Vlad Plakhotnyuk is trying, including information, to crush his rivals from the Party of Socialists and other forces opposing him. At the same time, the so-called pro-Western opposition, naturally, must preserve its “mouthpieces”. Which, in turn, is a million evidence of the fact that the former minister of the pro-European government, Maia Sandu, is just a pawn in the hands of Plaha.
Undoubtedly, this position not only has the right to life, but also fully corresponds to reality. However, there is one more important aspect.
So, recently, as an alternative to popular Russian-language publications, recently created resources that publish news articles and analytical notes with sensational headlines on world events. Most of these materials are commonplace reprints from Western or Ukrainian resources.
Note that “independent” journalists are not interested in events in Chisinau, Balti, Gagauzia and Transnistria. In their publications, they cover opposition protests in Russia and Belarus, the civil war in the Donbas and events in Ukraine as a whole. Now the focus of their attention on the Russian-Belarusian exercises "West-2017".
Let us try to figure out what is so terrible in these maneuvers, as they are connected with Moldova, and why they so frightened the United States and their satellites in the Baltic countries, “Square” and even in Germany.
In fact, the Russians and Belarusians did not invent anything new. Throughout its stories the military of these two countries conduct joint exercises. The decision of the former President Dmitry Medvedev and the head of the Belarusian state Alexander Lukashenko with 2009, held joint strategic exercises. And not so long ago, this initiative did not bother anyone ...
However, starting this year, in all pro-Western media, from the rostrum of the parliaments and during the briefings, written statements about the impending aggression sound like a carbon copy. With the only difference that the Ukrainians report plans to attack them from the territory of Belarus, while Lithuanians fear the creation of a permanent Russian base in the Suvalki corridor for the subsequent occupation of Vilnius.
Moldova gladly writes about all this massively, although by and large the average citizen of the Dniester region, especially against the background of internal socio-economic problems, is completely uninteresting what Moscow and Minsk conceived there and what the ordinary member of the Bundestag thinks about it Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaite.
At the same time, this problem still has to worry some of our compatriots and, apart from the military-political leadership of the Moldovan state, the National Army servicemen who went contrary to the decision of President Igor Dodon to the sensational “Fast Trident” exercises held in Lviv Ukraine, as well as their family members.

In addition to the information war with the prohibition of a number of Russian-language media, press censorship and false publications with sensational headlines, Moldovans were also drawn into the classic military confrontation, which at the moment, thank God, is still on the maps of strategists, and on the testing grounds.
So, as mentioned above, the teachings of the Union State "West-2017" are exclusively defensive in nature, observers from other countries, including the NATO bloc, are invited to them, and the number of Russian military involved in them will not exceed 3000 people that fit into the Vienna Document 2011 of the year.
In response, the countries of the coalition, led by the United States, at the same time with the "West" are carrying out a number of activities on all fronts on which obviously defensive actions will be worked out.
For example, according to the authoritative Finnish edition “Yle”, 17 thousands of troops from Sweden, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Lithuania, Norway and the United States will take part in the Aurora 20 exercises in the Baltic Sea region. These will be the largest exercises of Swedish ground forces over the past 20 years, moreover, for the first time in the territory of this Scandinavian country will be the military from the United States!
At the same time, the Northern Coast naval maneuvers will be held from 11 to September 29. 5 thousands of soldiers from Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Norway, Denmark, Belgium, Holland, Canada, Germany participate in them. The exercise will involve 53 warships and 50 other vehicles.
But that's not all! In September, the leadership of the North Atlantic Alliance decided to “flex its muscles” at the southern borders of the Russian Federation. The exercises will be held in Georgia (“Agile spirit”) and, of course, in Ukraine (“Fast Trident”).
Characteristically, anti-Russian phobia is not limited to classic military maneuvers. So, on September 6-7 in Tallinn (Estonia) passed the “Hybrid Cyber” cyberwheel. They were attended by all EU defense ministers, as well as the head of EU diplomacy Federica Mogherini and NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg. The main threat to the organizers of these exercises was, of course, on the part of Russia and its allies.
In conclusion, I would like to once again return to the information confrontation and clearly comment on a number of news from our brotherly countries - Ukraine and Belarus.
In all pro-Western media, the action of the Belarusian opposition against the exercise “West-2017” was spread. Radio Liberty journalists created the image of the protesters as protesters and emphasized the mass character of the event. However, in fact, in Minsk, a single picket of a professional rally was held, which was joined by several dozen people with South Russian dialect. The latter began to actively chant "Glory to Ukraine ...". Local residents in social networks have already ridiculed this parody of a popular uprising.
“See the“ warning action ”of Russia? But she is. And in the frame. Passes right now on this square. Take your Tanks, otherwise they’ll not make you laugh so much ... ”- writes Minsk resident Artem Agafonov.
It is impossible to treat the position of Ukrainian security officials and leaders of local nationalist battalions without irony. Their concerns about border security are well justified. But it's not about "polite people." As the experience of ex-President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili showed, in order to cross the state border of Ukraine, tanks and airplanes are not needed, for this is enough audacity and a dozen skinheads. This begs the question: what will happen if the real aggressor decides to attack this young European country?
So, the geopolitical situation in the world is more or less clear. The question remains: what place in it is given to Moldova? In our opinion, the answer is very simple and lies in the constitution: the state of the Dniester region must remain neutral and non-bloc country.
But the longer the current rulers are in power, the more we get involved in the conflict between Moscow and Washington. In the meantime, appointees of the United States and Romania are sitting in ministries and departments, respect for the constitutional rights of Moldovan citizens is not possible. Yes, and our children will continue to teach the history of a foreign country and an alien people in schools, and on TV you will hear only tales about imaginary Russian aggression.
In this situation, the Moldovans simply must not sit back and together with President Igor Dodon demand to convene the Grand National Assembly and the early parliamentary elections!
