Adjustable aviation the KAB-500-OD bomb, as the Syrian Ministry of Defense reports show, has become one of the most commonly used aviation ammunition against infrastructure facilities and armored vehicles of the militants of the so-called “Islamic State” (* prohibited in the Russian Federation). According to some reports, it was the KAB-500-OD (a variant of the other adjustable KAB-500Kr air bomb) that was used by the Russian Su-34 and Su-24M bombers to strike at convoys of terrorists trying to break through from Raqqa towards Deir ez-Zor.
Recall that as a result of the airstrikes, several hundred militants and dozens of armored vehicles, pickups and ISIS supply vehicles (*) were destroyed.
According to updated data, the blows were made from the extreme heights of the use of KAB-500-OD. This is about 5 thousands of meters - without a dive (horizontal discharge). The speed of the bomber at the time of the attack was about 900 km / h.
