The military department thought about restarting the newspaper "Krasnaya Zvezda", which is being released under its auspices from 1923, reports Kommersant.

Defense Ministry is preparing reformatting "Red Star"

The Ministry of Defense plans to increase the readability of the newspaper and significantly expand its audience.

According to Kommersant’s sources, the concept has been developed for several months: this work is expected to be completed by October, after which it will be submitted for approval by the ministry’s leadership.

The main areas have already been identified: “the newspaper will provide exclusive information on the state of affairs in the army and on navy, and the number of interviews with military leaders will increase, ”said one of the interlocutors.

It is also planned to increase the salary of employees and to attract to work in the publication of new journalists (including graduated from civil universities in the specialty).

According to "Kommersant", in the future, "Red Star" can unite all the print media of the Ministry of Defense (there are more than 20-ti), turning into a full-fledged printing holding.

The main reason for the decision to restart the “Red Star” was the desire “to return the former name to the newspaper,” one source explains: “in the war years there were writers Mikhail Sholokhov, Alexey Tolstoy, Konstantin Simonov, Andrei Platonov and others”

Then the publication was popular, it was read, it was truly nationwide. In Russian stories There was not so much “red star” return from publications. With the development of the Internet, there was no talk of competition with other information resources,
said the source.

With the ability to comment on events?

An Internet option is for any self-respecting newspaper ...

Yes, the publication is necessary. But it is very desirable that the published materials are literate from a military point of view, and that blunders such as "military landing troops" and the like are excluded in such a newspaper. Therefore, even specialists with civic education should know the “materiel” and not make military people laugh.

If only run a normal site with that name. And so the print media die, the news has long been on the Internet and you can directly comment on it, give, so to speak, feedback.

The Russian army should have its own official newspaper. As it was under the Union. Each military district had its own newspaper. Each division had a division. Because there was no Internet.
The idea is good, but how will it be implemented?
The main thing is by whom? Another manager or experienced journalist.
For example, I myself do not read any newspapers, as they make me sick. Journalists do not even know the language, errors at every turn. And the information or advertising from the "Speedinfo" area.
    All according to Professor Preobrazhensky.

    And I would write out.

And I probably wouldn’t. We went through this in the beginning of the 90s, when a mass of materials appeared, plus multiplying equipment at work. Immediately, the volumes of materials began to be measured not in sheets, but in kilograms. I wanted to cover everything. That's just where all these magazines, newspapers and stapled photocopies were.
Enough to be as it is now. There is an electronic version of the newspaper in PDF format. You can binder newspapers on CDs or DWDs. And not only newspapers, but also magazines.

The truth from the article is not clear how they are going to reformat it

The former popularity of the Red Star is simply explained: each soldier had to subscribe to this newspaper. In addition, the communists, i.e. almost all officers should have a subscription to Pravda, Komsomol members to Komsomolskaya Pravda. Well, and who remembers, the wonderful magazine FAC (Communist of the Armed Forces) demanded a subscription. The politician strictly followed the subscription and demanded the provision of subscription receipts. Those who rested regularly were persecuted at all meetings, but were not punished.
There was still an interesting entertainer called the University of Marxism-Leninism with an evening form of training. Those who were appointed according to the routine for 2 years in the evenings deepened their knowledge of Marxism-Leninism, and after classes went together to a pub. The visit was monitored and accordingly fought. The truth was a considerable plus - leave was granted to students in the summer, and exams were exempted from service and outfits.
Now, military comrades need to go to the Internet, create several Internet resources and take the audience with interesting materials, diversity and accessibility. The times of the order have long passed.

I agree with you, no one has read the army newspapers, all the district newspapers called "Stop who's coming"
As for the "University of Marxism-Leninism," it was not so simple, I remember, when I was young I asked one senior comrade ........why does he need it ....., meant a colleague who was attached to this very university. To which an experienced friend said the following ..... here you’ll finish the service, you won’t need anyone, and this one, after leaving, will get an instructor in the regional committee (district committee, city committee).

who remembers a wonderful magazine pic

And not only a subscription, on Mondays and Thursdays, before comprehensive preparation for the database, two hours of political classes with fighters according to the lecture notes. A lecture notes are rewritten from and to an article from the FAC. At two days off a month, they coffin for three hours on Sunday to rewrite this crap. You can’t read from the magazine, I didn’t rewrite it, so I didn’t make sense. wassat
