First UBS T-50T for Thailand

15
The South Korean corporation Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) has begun flight testing of a combat training aircraft (UBS) T-50TH, built for the Thai Air Force, reports bmpd.

The contract for the supply of four T-50TN aircraft was signed by the parties in September 2015, the transaction value was about $ 110 million. The order must be completed in full by March 2018.

It is noted that "the T-50ТН aircraft is another export modification of the famous KAI T-50 Golden Eagle combat training aircraft, created and produced by KAI together with the American corporation Lockheed Martin."

The new aircraft will replace Aero L-39ZA-ART training aircraft acquired by the Czech Republic in 1991-1996 in the Thai Air Force.

Total Thai government plans to acquire X-NUMX aircraft T-24TN. The car was chosen according to the results of the tender, in which Russian Yak-50, Italian Alenia Aermacchi M-130 and Chinese L-346 also took part.

Thailand became the fourth foreign customer for T-50 aircraft after Indonesia, Iraq and the Philippines.

strange, Indonesia buys SU35 from us, at the same time takes a golden eagle. it would be more logical b, probably to buy our Yak130.

But the T-50 Golden Eagle is supersonic - for countries with limited Air Force in UBS this is a nice bonus.

Dryers, like all powerful heavy fighters, eat a lot of fuel - for poor countries this has always been a problem - so they try to maximize the potential of combat training aircraft.

As I understand it in Tay, as the Indians take everything, they have a hodgepodge there.

As for Indonesia, in my opinion, given the presence of hundreds of islands and, as a consequence, the enormous length of the coastline, they should have focused on the development of patrol aviation. There are pirates and other rubbish in the form of drug dealers and smugglers like dirt. And what about combat aircraft (which are more expensive)? With whom are they fighting aerial fights there?

I don’t know about the patrol, but they ordered BE200.

The Indonesian Air Force has a hodgepodge. Everything's there. And the T-50 is by far the best UBS in the world. The Yak-130 is not suitable for him.

Why is it getting excited? The Italian "analog" is taken, and the Yak-130 is only the CIS, and even those at Russian prices. Thailand even regretted palm oil.

I can put the emphasis differently: only the Yak130 is taken from us in the CIS, only NATO and satellite people take pasta.
