According to the blog bmpd, in the exposition of the International Military-Technical Forum "Army - 2017" JSC "Design Bureau of Instrument Engineering" (KBP, Tula) presented a model of a promising uninhabited combat module "Epoch".

This product has been demonstrated on the models BMP-2 and BMP-3. The armament of the module is represented by 57-mm automatic low-ballistics gun LSHO-57, launchers of the Kornet ATGM and the new advanced Bulat guided missile system with small missiles for firing points and lightly armored and unarmored combat equipment.

Yeah, at least a hundred 57mm modules were put into the troops, well, or a couple of three cars were sent to Syria for a run-in. Only modelki glue and know how so far.

Warrior, su35 / 34/30, Ka-52, Mi-28, Yars, Tornado-G, Typhoons, Tigers. It seems to be written about this, but for some reason you don’t notice, since you write this?

Where did you notice that the troops were saturated with the listed? Do not catch up? Everything is raw. The same warrior has 14 items of equipment! How do you ensure safety and from theft. If you are not yet mature, do not bother adult uncles. Why are Yars dragged? Or you are not in adequate?

it’s just right to exclaim after the hero of the old joke: “I don’t understand anything in this life ... This bride: who is she at all? Man?!, Woman !?”
. The armament of the module is represented by the LShO-57 57-mm automatic low-ballistic gun, Kornet anti-tank launchers and the new promising Bulat guided missile system with small-sized missiles for engaging firing points and lightly armored and unarmored military equipment.

If you have a 57 mm low ballistic gun, do you also need an intermediate type of missile?

Let it be, the layout is a good thing. I'm more interested in the question - will the microwave on this BMP stand?

And where did 57 mm of low ballistics come from? If only they blew off the S-60, but why?

In Russia, it was not officially represented, although he entered the airborne assault companies of the 76th guards airborne assault division for military tests ...

      1) the target can maneuver or be lightly armored, so that the fragmentation mine simply doesn’t penetrate it, and Bulat by eye has a caliber of 64, but rather 72 mm, and this is enough to burn any modern APC or IFV, the only thing missing is a large-caliber anti-aircraft machine gun

BMP-3 is not a small car anymore, and with such a “shed” - it’s a direct return to the “grand” - it also had three tiers of weapons ... And what is this birdhouse in a separate window? to the left of the trunk?

LShO-57 57-mm automatic low-ballistic gun - this is the first time I've heard something about a gun. Do we have a "short" 57mm shell?

What kind of 57mm caliber mod? It is redundant for lightly armored vehicles, and insufficient for tanks.
Ammunition - small. Rate of fire is low.
They wanted to get away from the BMP from a caliber of 30 mm - 40, 47 mm, in my opinion, was more rational.

The fragmentation effect of 30-47 mm shells is not very high. Such a gun (57mm and above) is necessary to combat a / s on weakly fortified terrain, firing points. You can of course and ATGM, but it costs much more. And there are many fewer of them. So do not fight with tanks such a weapon.

there are other means against your named goals, 57mm has the main advantage against UAVs.

because all modern design bureaus have already accepted the axiom of booking BMPs at the level of protection from 30 mm BOPS, 37 will create a precarious balance, we did not develop anything in the caliber of 40 mm, and in 45 mm the operating time from the time of the war, and even a shell weighing more than 1 kg has a speed of 850 m / s, and a rate of fire of 250 rounds per minute. Those. the real system is only in 57 mm caliber, the power of ammunition + modern guidance systems compensate for the rate of fire at 2 rounds per second

The layout is impressive, especially, judging by the pictures, it can be fastened to almost any base in old BMPs and MTLBs. But so far, theoretically ...

57 mm is somehow unlucky. LSE and AU220 have probably been demonstrating at exhibitions for ten years, but nothing has been adopted. (((

This is not the same gun as on the Baikal module! It turned out to be a light assault gun of 57 mm caliber. or a low ballistic gun. And by the latter in this case is meant ... a grenade launcher !!!
