Syria calls on UN to dissolve international coalition led by US

The Permanent Mission of Syria to the UN sent a letter to the UN Secretary General and the UN Security Council, in which she called on the Security Council to dissolve the international coalition led by the United States, which was involved, according to Damascus, to crimes.

Damascus calls on coalition member states to distance themselves from the crimes committed by this coalition, on their behalf, and to dissolve it immediately

According to the Permanent Representative Bashar Jaafari, by his actions the coalition helps the militants "who have unleashed a campaign of terror and murder against the Syrian people."

He recalled that the coalition recognized responsibility for the death and injury of thousands of Syrian children, women and the elderly. Jaafari also referred to Security Council resolutions prohibiting attacking "civilians, hospitals, schools, and medical and food aid."

On the eve, Damascus accused the United States and Britain of supplying terrorists with poisonous substances, which they found in the warehouses left by the militants.

The coalition has been conducting a military operation against ISI militants * since August 2014. At the same time, it operates in Syria without consent and coordination with official Damascus. In early August, the coalition acknowledged that since the start of the operation against the Islamic State * group in Syria and Iraq, at least 624 civilians were killed due to the Allied attacks.

IG * is a terrorist organization banned in Russia.
