At the same time, the grouping of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation along the eastern part of the state border of Ukraine consisted of 35 battalion tactical and company tactical groups; no less than 45100 military personnel; up to 160 tanks; 1360 BMP (BTR) 350 artillery units; 130 units of multiple launch rocket systems; 192 combat aircraft; 137 helicopters.

In general, according to the report of the Prosecutor General’s Office, the ultranationalist groups, taking on the function of the armed forces of Ukraine, tried to conduct another punitive operation in the area of ​​Ilovaisk and Makeevka.
