MAZ-6317 Belarus began to produce as a response the KAMAZ version - the 44118 truck. The 5551 dump truck served as the prototype of the machine. Its release was mastered as early as 1985. When developing a military truck, no special experiments were carried out and at the beginning of 1990, the first experienced army MAZ-6317 came out from the Minsk Automobile Plant. Currently, it is widely represented in the Armed Forces of Belarus.
