The OSCE Special Monitoring Mission (SMM) published on its website a report stating that since the beginning of this year, 345 civilians have been injured as a result of hostilities in the Donbas, of which 62 have died.

From July 24 to August 8, 3 civilians died, another 10 was injured. This increased the total number of civilian casualties confirmed by the mission for the current year - to 345 people, 62 of them fatalities

In addition to the restrictions related to the non-conduct of demining by the parties, access to SMM patrols was repeatedly prevented, especially in areas not controlled by the government in the southern part of Donetsk region. In particular, from 24 July to 8 August, armed members of the so-called “DNR” 10 did not miss the SMM's patrols to the east from the control entry-exit point in Verkhneshirokovsky.

According to him, in a week the Ukrainian military violated the ceasefire regime 342 times, using 1692 artillery pieces across the territory of the DPR, tank shells and mines. Areas of 33 settlements of the republic were exposed to fire, in seven of them 21 houses were damaged and destroyed.

According to Basurin, a week during the shelling by the Ukrainian military in the DPR, six people were killed. As a result of shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, one civilian was killed, one was injured, five soldiers were also killed, two were injured.
