European police fight against terrorism with postcards
Europol announced the beginning of the “original” action as follows (quote Anadolu):
Next comes the appeal to residents of EU countries, and in this appeal, citizens are called upon to assist the police in apprehending highly dangerous criminals.
The most amazing thing is that when sending such postcards, Europol does not use photographs of terrorists and bandits. Instead, on postcards such humorous caricatures. Thus, on a postcard for the wanted Faruk Tachi, a mustache was depicted against the background of the Eiffel Tower with a baguette in hand. Also on the card you can see a bottle of wine and a croissant.
The inscription reads:
Against the background of the fact that criminals often return to France from the Middle East to carry out terrorist acts, the text of the postcard looks cynical.
Similar "addressless" postcards are sent by the police departments of Spain, Belgium, the Netherlands and other EU countries.
For example, on the Belgian postcard, the image of a “pissing boy” is being exploited, turned into a policeman against a background of french fries.
In this, it seems, the whole essence of the European struggle against terrorism.
