US Vice President Mike Pence continues his tour of the countries whose authorities salute Washington with their Russophobia. After visiting Estonia and Georgia, Pence reached Montenegro, which recently became another NATO member and on whose territory the base of the Western military bloc will soon appear.
During a visit to Podgorica (the capital of Montenegro), Pence, according to the press service of the White House, expressed "admiration for Montenegro’s determination to resist Russia's attempts to divert it away from the North Atlantic Alliance."
Pence held a short meeting with the Montenegrin President and Prime Minister Philip Vujanovic and Dusko Markovic.
It should be noted that today (August 2) Mike Pence will take part in the meeting of the so-called Adriatic Charter organized by Montenegro and Macedonia. The authorities of Macedonia, too, are trying to dance to the western tune and draw the country into NATO. In addition to these two states, other Balkan republics are planned to take part in the summit of the Adriatic Charter, which was created following the example of the Baltic Charter. The main agenda is another raising of the question of how Russia "interferes in democratic processes." At the same time, “democratic processes” are understood to involve countries in NATO even without a referendum - exactly as it happened in the same Montenegro.
