The Swedish Defense Ministry has announced the purchase of Stridsbåt 18HSM combat speedboats 90 from a local shipbuilding company Dockstavarvet. According to Navy Recognition, the boats will become the upgraded version used today on navy modifications of CB90.

New boats will get improved transmission, enhanced protection, eco-friendly engines, modern electronics and remote control for 12,7-mm machine gun. According to the calculations of the Swedish military, these vessels will last at least until the 2040 year, reports Fleetprom.

The order value is about 400 million Swedish crowns (47,5 million dollars). The first boat must be handed over to the military in the third quarter of 2018.

New boats reach a length of 15 meters, and in width - 3,8 meters. Crew - three people. On board can accommodate up to 19 man landing. Speed - up to 45 nodes.

Dockstavarvet is now completing a program to extend the life of 30 CB90-class boats, which the Swedish fleet has adopted in the 1990s. It is these that the Stridsbåt 90HSM boats should gradually replace.

Take sprats - the landing is necessary, and under the "absolute" gut nah house, I apologize for the emphasis.
Speedy, after all, catch them later, the Baltic states, the insidious Swedes. And it is eurological tongue . Only Karlsson could understand the logic of Frekenbock. And we drove the Karlsson to the attic at Poltava. Everything, the circle is closed. There is no Tolmach. The secret of the landing will remain on evrodna drinks

The department is Vitaliy, they are not offered to you, this is a purely special vessel, for landing saboteurs, or for catching them, for patrolling in the coastal zone ... What are you so bloodthirsty for - a third world war is waiting for? ?? belay

Why are they to them ..?

      Because they can.
Let me remind you, Ukraine still cannot make 4 Gyurza-M (emnip, only 2 boats have so far been lowered). But there is no remote control half-inch machine gun (aka the main caliber of the boat) does not even smell.

Although I'm lying. A few days ago they lowered the 4th one, sort of. June 30th.
Well, that’s it, the thick polar fox came to our World Cup fleet .... = (
Especially if they ask for 6 deductible Turkish submarines. They have already promised that they will melt everything then. Of course, the lyso-observant "letter of Zaporizhzhya Cossacks to the Turkish Sultan" in this context promises to be very amusing.

If I’m not mistaken, then this boat is kind of like we are buying or doing something ours at home, taking it as a basis. As a means of delivering saboteurs, or for patrolling the coastal zone, just what you need.

These armor "Raptor", rushing towards each other .... Everything is within the framework of treaties and conventions, and, most importantly - no "Gauges", only calibres: 5.56, 5.45, 7.62, 14.5, etc.Yes

Do we all kneel down and repent? laughing We have two incidentally manufacturers of such boats. The Kalashnikov Concern and the Pella shipyard in the city of Otradnoye, Leningrad Region.

But why? Because besides the galleys, THEN we did not know how to really build anything. That is why Tsar Peter traveled to Europe with the Netherlands - he studied himself, and taught the rest how to build full-sized warships. Successfully, by the way. Having made a full-fledged fleet, they piled on the Swedes to be healthy. And the Swedish troops (that fleet, that land) at that time were the best and most formidable in Europe.
By the way, there is some irony in this that the Peter the Great heavy nuclear missile cruiser is currently the largest (non-aircraft) warship in the world. The roles have changed somewhat. ^ _ ^

--- "According to the calculations of the Swedish military, these vessels will serve at least until 2040." --- Where do these calculated data come from ?, - what are they calculated about? "Grind" in time, so they won’t wear out at all, so why "trifle" - right up to the 80s.

    1. The idea of the Swedish Armed Forces for defense in the 80s of the last century with one phrase can be described as "echeloned anti-airborne defense", where 1 echelon - deployed at our bases DEPL, 2 echelon - aviation (including with anti-ship missiles) according to our DESO on crossing, and the 3rd echelon - directly to the PDO of the coast (which included coastal anti-aircraft missile systems, BA, MZ batteries, a system of fortifications and Swedish NE forces).
    2. In this concept, the place of SV90 was to ensure the mobility of rangers (the carrying capacity was determined taking into account the OShS - “ranger half-platoon”, with the reduction of boats into groups of 6 (that is, the possibility of transporting 3 platoons)) with SCRC and MANPADS strengthening the threatened section of the coast (including taking into account the presence of the DKVP in the BF).
    3. An important role in this was played by the small-sized SCRK Rb17 (adopted by Sweden shortly before the CB90 as a variant of the Hellfire PKKK), in the amount of about a hundred pieces. In fact, CB90 became a "taxi" for the rangers with Rb17.
    4. I.e. skerries became the main operating area for the CB90 (i.e., more relaxed operating conditions (by wave) than at sea).
    5. Also, the SV90s were actively used for the transfer of detachments of PPSD (for the same GB in the ammunition) - in connection with our special forces in Sweden there was simply “psychosis”.
    6. The task of setting up the Ministry of Health, including "directly in front of the nose" DESO
    7. As for the "landing function", it was again a special case of PDO - "the defense is stable as long as it retains the ability to counterattack." Undoubtedly, the task of blocking (with cutting off from the sea) and destroying our landings was with the Swedes, and it should be solved including CB90 and their predecessors Tpbs 200 ("raised a platoon" but had 2 times lower speed). At the same time, assault groups landed from high-speed and maneuverable CB90s with powerful artillery support. However, 150m to the coast, “hilling of the coast” ceased, and here the CB90 turned out to be “one on one” with the “coast”. To ensure the possibility of a successful solution of the problem, 2 factors worked - powerful water cannons (quickly slip through but also quickly stop in front of the shore) and own weapons - course machine guns or 30mm guns (suppression work, taking into account rebounds from the rocky shore) + installation with 12,7 or automatic granotometom.
I suppose that the problem with water cannons got out precisely on the basis of the specifics of this task, and not only as a result of "pulling" off the coast, but also as a result of "agitating" the soil during emergency braking
PS thus, the Swedish requirements probably looked like "a speedy maneuverable small boat designed to transfer full-time units with Rb17 and RbS70, including to the coast occupied by the enemy in a calm sea, as well as to solve EIT tasks and setting the MZ"
what happened as a result - a symbiosis of speed and maneuverability and a sufficient level of solving the indicated tasks (due to the transfer of the necessary "combat load")
The project certainly has a number of drawbacks, and the Swedes spoke directly about them, but they were a "continuation of the merits" and therefore put up with them (c) mina

It seems that not so many Somalis have come along in the coastal zones, not every Swede is able to afford the land there, and there is nothing to terrorize there, just ports. And so, by helicopter, special forces can be delivered much faster. You can’t climb on the ferry. Belgian poachers only drive. But the main thing for taxpayers is the eco-engine, there will definitely be no objections.
