Situation in Syria
The Syrian Arab Army (CAA) continues to attack the Faylak Ar-Rahman militia strongholds in the Ain-Tarma region in northeast Damascus. Soldiers occupied several strategically important buildings in the quarter, destroying around the 15 radicals. In the afternoon, the Islamists tried to regain their positions, but were defeated.
A convoy carrying humanitarian aid from the Red Crescent organization arrived in the south of the capital in the area of the camp for refugees of Al-Yarmuk. Packages of food and medicine were distributed among the inhabitants of the villages of Babil, Yalda and Beit Saham.
Turkish troops opened fire from large-caliber machine guns at the fortified points of government units in the northern part of Latakia. As a result of the shelling, several CAA soldiers were killed. Until now, Ankara has not made any official comments. In addition, pro-Turkish militants began to attack the position of the CAA on the border with the province of Idlib. Radicals do not stop fighting, despite the fact that the northern outskirts of Latakia go to one of the four security zones.
Clashes continued between terrorists of the IG group (banned in the Russian Federation) and pro-government units east of the administrative center of the province of Homs, as well as east of Palmyra. Militants conducted a counterattack involving suicide bombers in the area of the city of Jubb Al-Jarrah and beat off the al-Mashirfa height from the allies of the Syrian army.
However, in the afternoon, the Desert Falcons detachment, together with the National Defense Forces (NDF) and with the support of the Russian Aerospace Forces, beat off a number of peaks north of the Jubad Hamad settlement, not far from the Homs - Palmyra route, from the IG. Further, the Allied forces are planning to advance in the surfacing of the city of Al-Bagilia.
To the east of the ancient city, the Hezbollah and Liva Fatimiyun units continued to develop the offensive in the Al-Heil gas field and liberated several hills of the Al-Kalilat mountain range, as well as establishing fire control over the Al-Heil-Al-Sukhna highway. After this, the field completely passed under the control of the CAA.
In the province of Essaouida, government forces attacked the strongholds of the coalition radicals led by Al-Nusroy as part of the second phase of the Great Dawn operation, moving from two directions at once. In the north of the province, in the area of the Khalkhala military airbase, the National Defense Forces (NDF), along with the CAA, occupied the height of Tal-Asfar, as well as several nearby settlements. At the same time, in the eastern part of the region, the CAA Special Forces 5 Assault Corps and the pro-Assad Shiite militia freed 16 villages from the militants of the armed opposition.
Recall the truce regime in the provinces of Dar'a, Quneitra and Essaouida does not apply to the Islamist group "Dzhebhat An-Nusra".
