US order for artillery radars amounted to 900 million dollarsArmed forces of the United States of America signed a contract with the American company Lockheed Martin in the amount of 881 million dollars. Under this contract, the AN / TPQ-53 Firefinder mobile radar will go to the US Army.

The fulfillment of the contract is designed for three years. In the first year, the US Army will receive 12 artillery firefinder radars worth 166 million dollars. In general, the contract provides for the supply of X / NUMX radar AN / TPQ-51, including this includes their verification and training of the US Army.

The main purpose of the AN / TPQ-53 Firefinder radar is to detect enemy projectiles (missiles, mortars and artillery shells). The radar can detect projectiles in all directions, is able to determine the trajectory of the projectiles, the source from which the fire is fired, and the place where they should go.

As the representative of the company Lockheed Martin said, placing the AN / TPQ-53 Firefinder radar on a truck platform enhances the mobility of military personnel and provides the ability to conduct combat operations in remote areas.

As noted by the Defense Professionals, the AN / TPQ-53 Firefinder artillery radar far surpasses the AN / TPQ-36 radars that are in service with the United States. In particular, AN / TPQ-53 has a large radius of detection of projectiles and greater accuracy in detecting the source from which the fire is fired, with a lower probability of error.

Earlier it was reported that the US Army placed an order with Lockheed Martin on the AN / TPQ-32 Firefinder radar on 53, and it had already received 19.

Not just necessary, but extremely necessary .. We have such ... But we can’t pull such an order ... Yusovtsy are jumping over us in this matter ... Nothing ... we’ll rake a little with aviation and get back to the topic

They take an example from us ... we have identical ones, it only worries that everything is being done and built 2-3 times faster, they have been collecting frigates for 6 years ... although this will not help them, the Chinese are definitely not slower ))!

What is the algorithm for using this technique?
Did you spot the coordinates of the enemy battery / launcher and the return volley on target?

At a symposium on priorities in Geneva. Englishman:
        - Gentlemen, our D. White was the first in the world to invent a steam engine. I hope everyone
        agree on that!
        Russian:
        - Excuse me, but even before your White, the Russian self-taught Polzunov did it!
        American:
        - I think the right of the first invention of the light bulb belongs to Edison!
        Russian:
        - No way! He was ahead of our scientist Lodygin.
        Frenchman:
        - Gentlemen, after much debate about priorities in the field of discoveries in science and
technique, I’ll allow you to note that no one will dispute the fact that blowjob -
        purely french invention!
        All agreed, except Russian:
        - Please take a break, I have to ask our government.
After the break, the Frenchman, referring to the Russian:
        “Well, colleague, was I right?”
        - No way! After all, our Tsar Ivan the Terrible, speaking in a thought to the boyars, said:
"* put it in your mouth, boyars!" So blowjob is a purely Russian invention! And the British, about the X-ray, I will also answer with the words of the Tsar the Terrible - "I, you fucking see through and through"

For the Ministry of Defense, the "Zoo" is the last century.
So there is no doubt that AN / TPQ-53 Firefinder mobile radars will be purchased rather than upgraded Zoos-1. The fact is that the US Army uses its artillery reconnaissance radar system in all military operations in which it participates. Zoo-1 is aging in closed arsenals. However, sometimes it is used in large exercises to make sure it still works. And the complex works fantastic. The projectile sees 15 kilometers away. In the first second, it determines the coordinates of the gun from which the shot was fired, and in the next second, it gives its artillerymen all the data for opening aimed fire at the enemy battery. Zoo-1 can determine the coordinates of 60 batteries per minute. It can also determine the hidden position of a single mortar in a city. The question is whether he is needed in the Russian army. http://www.rg.ru/2008/10/02/zoopark.html
