Project "Grid" - the study of UFOs under the heading "Top Secret"
Virtually every country in the world is studying the phenomenon of UFOs. But the results of these studies, as a rule, remain under the heading "Top Secret". And in print only those crumbs appear that are simply impossible to hide. Today, it is no secret to anyone that the USSR did not lag behind America in the study of anomalous phenomena. The Union has even developed a secret research program 1978-1991's, which was called the "Grid".
The reason that the topic of the study of anomalous phenomena and their influence on the state of army personnel, as well as on the work of military equipment was included in the plan of defense research works was the so-called “Petrozavodsk phenomenon” - events that occurred in September 1977. . Recall, then in the sky appeared a large medusoobrazny object, which was observed in the northern part of the USSR and in Finland. The most impressive observations were made in Petrozavodsk, hence the name.
It should also be said that the development of the Grid project had a very significant base. Scientists have not previously deprived the attention of the problem of anomalous phenomena. So, for example, back in 1976, scientists of the USSR Academy of Sciences began preparing work on the secret study of unidentified objects.
The program was divided into two streams: “Grid-MO” - conducting research on anomalous phenomena and their influence on the work of equipment and personnel, “Grid-AN” - conducting research on physical origin and principles for the development of anomalous phenomena. These streams differed in sources of information. So, the Ministry of Defense, which was engaged in the first flow, received data from different types of troops, and the Academy of Sciences, which oversaw the second flow - from scientific organizations, editorial offices of newspapers and magazines. It is clear that the ultimate goals of research were completely different.
Since the work on this issue was closed, there was practically no information about them, and all materials related to UFOs were strongly recommended to be sent for preliminary review to the USSR Academy of Sciences.
In reality, the situation was such that any slightest mention in the media or on television of the possibility of the existence of extraterrestrial life was subjected to harsh criticism, so the authors of such materials had almost no chance to publish their work.
Every five years, the name of the project was changed: at first it was called “Grid”, then the program “Galaxy MO” appeared, and even later - “Horizon MO”. But the name of the project did not change from the name changes - there were still attempts to find out the nature of UFOs.
Both streams of the “Grid” were closed almost immediately after the August 1991 putsch. Two years later, all the secret documents that were able to gather over the 13 years of the project’s existence were sold. According to some sources, the buyer was the Americans, and the customer was the CIA. It is worth noting that all documentation was priced cheaply, just a few thousand dollars, and in exchange, 400 received descriptions of the most mysterious cases, including descriptions of the clashes of Soviet aircraft with UFOs. Documents were much more, but, unfortunately, they were not preserved.
To answer the question of what the Grid project is, you need to carefully examine the archives. Even the small amount of information left after burning and selling can even shock a professional ufologist. Surprise is caused not only by documented cases of observation of anomalous phenomena, but also by the influence they had on eyewitnesses, the medical results of examining people who were irradiated by a UFO, the study of landing sites and contacts with pilots of unidentified objects who very little resembled people.
But then the question arises: why, even back in the 80 of the last century, it was known that a certain part of anomalous phenomena that periodically appear in the atmosphere are of extraterrestrial origin, is the process of profanation of the topic of ufology still going on? It is quite possible that the recognition of an extraterrestrial life form will put an end to many scientific works for which solid prizes have been received previously, and also have to reconsider many established postulates. And the very renaming of the project into “Galaxy” was probably not accidental. Even then, most scientists associated the appearance of a UFO with the cosmos.
We present to your attention several cases that have become the object of the study "Grid". In June, 1979, near the city of Derzhavinsk, in Kazakhstan, vehicles of unknown origin were observed, whose crews spent several days on the ground, conducting some kind of research. In this case, no harm was caused to people. According to eyewitnesses (children who rested in the pioneer camp), the unknown creatures had a height of more than three meters, and differed from each other only in the color of their belts. All of them were fragile physique, and while moving the hand pulled forward. Gradually they disappeared, as if dissolved. The next day they were again seen, but already in the territory of the camp. Then the children noticed something like tents on the horizon. When they came to that place, they found only scorched grass. And 26 of June of the same year, information appeared that a luminous body was observed in the sky in that region.
Representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the KGB of the Soviet Union arrived at the scene. But during the investigation no measurements were made, no soil samples were taken. Thus, it was not possible to establish anything concrete in this case.
Something similar happened during the observation of another unidentified object. In June, a glowing round object appeared on 1980 of the year over the European part of Russia, leaving a fiery red smoke trail and then a pale blue trail, after which it acquired a flatfish shape. Platov and Sokolov, who were the main participants in the project, explained its appearance by launching the Kosmos-1188 satellite from the Plesetsk cosmodrome, even despite the fact that a similar phenomenon was observed over South America. At the same time, they accidentally “forget” to mention the facts of simultaneous observation of anomalies in different sides of the globe, as well as contact with a UFO of one of the immediate witnesses.
The report on this incident provides information that observations of unidentified phenomena were widespread, they were seen in the Moscow, Vladimir, Tula, Ryazan regions and even in the territory of Tatarstan. But the greatest interest for scientists was the Chkalovsky region, where almost at the same time several anomalous phenomena were observed: the passage of a point object with a large train, the observation of a fixed cloudy black formation. Thus, in the end, the scientists came to the conclusion that all the observed objects are anomalous, but there is not enough data to study their characteristics.
Information was also provided that one of the residents of the village, a student A. Vostrukhin, saw a fixed ellipse-like object located above the village of Solntsevo. After some time, the same object was seen by another person, Lieutenant Colonel V. Karjakin, who was returning home. According to him, he heard a low-frequency rumble, and then he saw a glowing spot. The man ran toward the object. When approaching, he felt heaviness in the body and weakness in the legs. When Karjakin approached the object, he began to slowly climb up, at a height of about 25 meters, he stopped and then disappeared. The lieutenant colonel immediately reported the incident to his commander.
To clarify all the circumstances of the case, an on-site team was created, which conducted a conversation with the neurologist of the medical unit. As a result, it was found out that at that time Karjakin was completely healthy both physically and mentally, and was not in a state of shock or intoxication. In addition, no negative effects on his body during the observation of the object were found.
According to scientists, the preparatory stage of work has come to an end, so for further research it was necessary to identify specific tasks. Otherwise, scientists simply could not carry out further work. It seems that this process has been delayed: despite the abundance of factual and statistical material, they have not been able to get answers to basic questions concerning anomalous phenomena.
And the question remains unclear whether the final goal of the project has been achieved? Despite the huge array of unique documents, large cash costs, the huge work done, there is not the most important thing - the final report, which would dot the i.
