The United States shared information about Russian interests in Syria

As the RIA "News", With a statement on Russian interests in Syria on the eve of the US Deputy Secretary of State for the Middle East, Jeffrey Feltman. He said that Russia not only has no valid reason to object to the resignation of Bashar Assad, but even the opposite - while maintaining the Assad regime in the country, Moscow will not be able to defend its own interests in Syria and the region.

According to a senior US official, US contacts with Russia on the Syrian theme are continuing. The Americans are convincing Russia to use the existing influence in Syria to solve problems — instead of blocking efforts, as explained by J. Feltman.

The Deputy Secretary of State recalled that the Russian Federation has influence and interests in Syria that have evolved over the years. But, according to Feltman, Moscow will not succeed in retaining influence and interests when linking politics with the Assad regime. The fact is that, according to the US, Assad will "sink." Therefore, his support by Moscow is “not a very wise decision,” especially when it comes to protecting one’s interests.

Not so long ago, about two weeks ago, fulfilling the request of Hillary Clinton, J. Feltman visited the Russian capital. The topic for the Moscow conversation was famous: "... the irreversibility of the removal of Assad from power." The deputy secretary of state argues that Russia’s analysis of the situation in Syria and Russian’s understanding of the precarious situation of Assad differ little from those of the United States. Only here Moscow’s position on Syria remains unchanged - and this greatly upsets the bewildered America. Feltman even stated: “The time has come to use sharper rhetoric regarding Russia's actions.” He stressed the fact that “the time has come for the UN Security Council to act.”

The United States, however, will continue to consult with the Russian Federation on the Syrian issue. This was confirmed yesterday by White House spokesman Jay Carney. Carney pointed out that the United States will continue to work with its international partners to ensure that Assad leaves power and helps the Syrian people. This help, as Carney noted, is to create a “democratic future” in Syria, which, according to him, the Syrian people “so clearly want and deserve”.

Recall that we are now talking about holding consultations with Moscow and Beijing about the development of sanctions against the Assad regime, as well as providing humanitarian aid to the citizens of Syria.

On February 10, Clinton also announced the role of the Russian Federation in resolving the Syrian conflict. Moscow, as the US Secretary of State said, will get such an “access to Assad, which no one will ever have, especially if we are talking about Western countries.” That is why Washington should convince Moscow to "cooperate."

In turn, Vladimir Putin, at his last meeting with editors of foreign newspapers, said that identical conditions should be imposed on the Assad government and on the opposition. According to Putin, the same conditions for both conflicting parties are an indispensable and basic condition for ending the violence, as well as the beginning of a political settlement of the conflict. According to Putin, the Russian Federation is ready to cooperate with Western countries to achieve this goal.

The Prime Minister also recalled that the draft resolution of the UN Security Council on Syria, on which China and Russia had vetoed at one time, put forward demands only to the Syrian official authorities, having completely ignored the actions of the opposition. Putin added that while promoting it (i.e. the opposition) with supplies weapons and while putting pressure on Assad, this opposition "will never sit at the negotiating table."

Yes, nothing bad happens .. just Putin diplomatically sent the Yusovites to ... well, far away ... The West cannot stop delivering weapons, it invests too much, it means they will pull the cat by the tail ... They have lost time and now completely lost control for the situation .. I think that soon, in the next few hours, we will see footage of the detention of mercenaries-Frenchmen and others ... And evidence of the atrocities of the bandits .. Assad must shoot from this weapon ...

---------- This is how they figure out that they will be completely cut off oxygen not only with Afghan transit, but will be thrown out of Kyrgyzstan with acceleration, Russia will only have to make a little effort. What is amazing is that they categorically crap, crap, believing in their invulnerability (not necessarily militarily), and then, just as without blushing, they begin to offer peace! ... Now they have blundered on the topic of closer cooperation with Russia in order to ensure equal competitive conditions for their companies in comparison with European ones! While the Yusy are waving their fists in front of Russia, their "allies" are expanding the spheres of cooperation with Russia, but at any summits they nod in agreement with the Yus - "Yes! GUYS, ALL WELCOME! The news is awesome! READ! ----------- Syrian government forces captured more than a hundred French troops in the city of Homs, an Egyptian newspaper Al Ahram reports Friday citing a former minister in the Lebanese government, an MP from the pro-Syrian wing of the Arab Socialist Revival Party (PASV) Lebanon Asem Kanso. According to him, the military captured 18 officers and 100 paratroopers from France, as well as about 70 Lebanese militants who fought in Homs. Kanso did not provide any details or evidence, but promised in the near future to publish even more information on this subject, mainly about the “Lebanese conspirators”. This "scandal", in his opinion, will lead to the "overthrow" of French President Nicolas Sarkozy, RIA Novosti reports.

The politician also expressed confidence that with the capture of the Bab-Amr quarter in Homs by government forces, the military phase of the Syrian conflict has ended. “We can say that the crisis is now over. After stripping Homs, the time has come for Idlib, ”he pointed out. “Of course, we still have to face several centers of armed resistance, supported by Qatar and Saudi Arabia, but the regime will need no more than a month to deal with them.”

On the eve of a number of media reports about the detention of the French military in Homs, who said that they were allegedly "captured by militants." However, they could not clearly explain the purpose of their stay on Syrian territory. Damascus, like Paris, is still silent, refraining from commenting on this issue.

According to some reports, government forces in Syria are opposed not only by the French and Lebanese, but also by the Saudis, Qatars, Jordanians, Libyans, Afghans and Turks. In addition, according to representatives of the so-called. The Syrian Free Army (SSA), "officially" consisting of the Syrian military deserting from the regular army, the US and France supply weapons to its fighters, including man-portable air defense systems.

Good morning, Valera. One thing is more beautiful than the other. A company of paratroopers was captured ... France has a thin airborne assault. The last combat-ready army they had was under Napoleon. Is it true that France recalled the ambassador from Syria? , Yes, I would have to drive around the cities and villages of Syria. Let them ask for forgiveness from people for all their atrocities ... With respect.

Judging by the article read, we can conclude: the United States cannot act as they want, as a result of which it is negotiating with Moscow. But apparently, if it doesn’t work out, they themselves will go to war without asking anyone. Now the situation is changing. The Syrian army frees one city after another. The interesting thing is that captured trophies are weapons of French, Israeli, American production. French snipers and militants from other states were captured. I think the United States if they go to Syria it will cost them dearly.

And they also expressed bewilderment why Russia does not die. The position is understandable and quite constructive in the spirit of concern for the universal good - they can better see it, but for some reason no one understands how difficult it is for them to live with this omniscience and all-understanding ((((

This is their whole logic: "Assad will drown" - that means he does not need to be supported.
      They so logically proved everything!
From a Western point of view, to prove that someone has a bad chance is to prove everything! - that he is a loser and does not need to support him, but only the winner should be supported.
And the Russians have a different logic - in almost all wars that they fought "they had no chance" - but that did not mean that they had to put down their paws and not fight.

To mine, in relation to Syria, America will lose love - Assad will remain in power or not ... And it’s very strange their desire to remove him - in Syria, for 25 years, quite a peaceful life - and this despite the fact that part of their territory is still occupied by the enemy ... And who will replace Assad - Muslim Brotherhood? Or some other radical movements - in Egypt we already see what’s going on - and if Syria turns into a bomb then Israel is surely worthless or at least a major war in the Middle East is guaranteed ...
